Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade, or Brigade des Loups... wondered if anyone else has seen it. The subbed version I saw had to be resubbed by a friend because it was first subbed in french!

It was a long movie, maybe even 2 hours and it had a different feel to then other animated movies or series.

Well tell me what you think [IMG]

Watched the first 30 mins in french sub , all that time spent in belgium with ppl who can't speak english finally paid off.
Seemed pretty sweet but i couldn't keep up with the subs. Reading, translating in head, understanding.... took too long , maybe if i was still immersed and thinking in french.

Anyway , i thought it was VERY good looking, the animation is just excellent, much alike spriggan which had some of the same art ppl.
I think the guy who worked on patlabor did the art direction ( can't remember his name ) but from the bit i saw it was great.
When i get the HK DVD (hopefully with semi-understandable subs) i'll do a review ....... maybe

Jin-Roh is one of those deep serious movies with a political/social point.

I know it was tough work getting it subbed over the french, I've been studying french all my life, and I don't even think I'd be able to keep up with some of the words, some of the english wasn't even in my vocabulary.

Looking at the new Final Fantasy Movie Wallscrolls of the men in suits reminds me of the Wolves (men in elite military group) in Jin-Roh.

I loved this film. I thought it had an amazing story. It looked beautiful, and had an amazing soundtrack. I picked up the special edition DVD release a couple of days ago (so what if I couldnt afford it? Whats a days meal when you have great anime). I saw in NYC this tiny movie theater, it was dubbed in English but still great.
