I have Paint Shop Pro 8 and when ever i make custom pics (ranging from banners to CGing) and save them as Jpegs the quality is shotty.

Once i have completed the image, it fine and ready to go but i will save it as a jpeg and there are blotchs and color blurs on the image. There seems to be nothing i can do. But when i save the same pic as a bitmap it is just as good as it was when it was in psp format.

Can anyone explain to me why it does this? And how i can I fix it. Is the problem not a problem and at all, and it is just what happens when i save pics as Jpegs and there is nothing i can do about it. Or is there a problem with PSP or my computer?

I would really like to make the pics quality better, cuz you cant load any pics onto sites like angelfire if they are not Jpegs, bitmaps dont work. If some one could answer my questions i would be greatful. Thanks.

Ever try looking at the settings and seeing what quality you use in saving .jpg images?

Having the setting too low blotches and mixes colors.

I don't use Paint Shop Pro, but, in Photoshop it pops up whenever I try to save the file itself. You might want to look at the "Save As..." properties. See if the quality setting is there.

Other than that, play around. You'll find it, eventually.

Or, maybe Bloodberry will see this and answer for you. She uses PSP, I believe.
