Creative Writing Just a game. ;3

Maybe this time I'll get it right,
In a game I play all wrong.
I have too many pieces,
I like to work alone.
Maybe this time I'll let you win,
In a game where you get a bonus for lies.
Some things are meant for taking for granted,
I'll just make plans when my character dies.

So take a chance to finally win,
This is it, I admit.
I make plans once I break my plans.
I just play to forget.

Maybe this time I'll hold my heart close,
These are the last words I'll ever make.
Lost in this game, I digress..
I feel like I'm just another fake.
With this last undying chance,
Maybe this time I can turn the clock back.
Though I don't know what move to make,
This wouldn't be the first time I collapse.

Left in the dark, I'll take my nights back.
I was left alone maskless in a masquerade,
But it wouldn't be the first time;
Because to you, this really is a game.
