    I dont know why im asking this but here goes;

    In the series Asuka frequently speaks german & we are generally not meant to know what she is saying & Shinji as well isnt meant to know (The episode where Asuka gets a phone call from her step-mother & Shinji starts babbling something about wanting to understand) im just wondering... how did they go about that when the series was actually dubbed in german?

    My guess is it'd still be in German.

    I mean, remember the "think in German!" scene?

    Shinji certainly didnt speak Japanese in the english dub.

    I love it when Asuka yells in German! Especially at Shinji! "perverser Mensch!" he he!
    I've always wondered that - you know how on tv programs there are plays on words, jokes about certain English sentances and stuff? Well when it's translated what happens?
    Just a question - for all the other German speakers out there, what does Asuka scream at Tojiwhen he pulls down his pants? There's so much noise I can't hear it! It's bugging me.

    Well it sounds something like (i cant type in German so no offence) "on fersaken idiote" & on my subtitle thing it comes up as "You insolent dork" but the subtitle thing doesnt always speak the truth, so i would go with whatever it is in german that sounds like "On fersaken idiote"

    "Unverschamtheit" means 'insolence' and itkind of sounds like what you said if you put it in the right context, so maybe your subtitles are right!

    Well, anyone with half a brain would figure out that its unchanged from the original script and that they're dealing with a complete and faithful dub.
