Recreation Just had my best day this year!

Me and a bunch of my friends went to a anime convention. The fist thing i did when i got into the buiding is ran to all the rooms that were selling stuff, and i was schocked when i saw big wall scrools for 10$ each! x_X i think i got 5 of those (50$ just gone like that), then i got 3 volumes of canravan kidd(lol funny manga, any one seen it?) also got a kenshin T-shirt Man do i ever look kool in it maybe i should take a pic of me wearing it eh?? but the best thing that i ended up getting was DDR game for my psx - o - ;. after that i had to walk back to my car and put all that junk in my car. ohh and i also got a bunch of vhs vidoes and some other small junk that i will prolly never touch in my life -o-;;. Hehe well there was my day x__X, and now im tired as hell, legs hurting, need sleep zzzzzzz-_-*drool* NIGHT

 

I'm happy for you Kyo. This will be happening to me too soon...

I've been to one, but I'm afraid I only got some books.. There were more things at Kyo's convention. *sigh*

Well, at the convention that I went to, they showed the first few episodes of a few new animes that aren't here yet!! That was the best part, I think. I hope to go to another anime convention soon..one with more stuff to buy!! (I want wall scrollsss!!!!)

 

Cool, that sounds really exiting. There must have been alot of people there.

I had a pretty good day yesterday too. I was at Ozzfest. It was cool.

I have never been to an anime convention though, I have always wanted to go to one... if one is coming up and I have money for it I'll go on a road trip with a bunch of people to it

hehe ive always wanted to go to a conv. too but what about leprachauns day?i would have loved to go to that as well it sounds like a GREAT line up of bands this year wasnt system of a down gonna be there?maybe that was something else...there was another cool band... hey my dear dear drunk one could you please tell me what bands were there?i forget you see:shy3:

 

I've never been to an anime convention either, but...

Well at the Irish gig(stage one) there were the following bands:
Black Label Society, but they were on too early and I missed them.
Drowning Pool who were pretty good, nothing too special, but good.
Lost Prophets sucked donkey nuts all around the world. Worst band ever. Good they were ****. God. They even called the audience narrow minded ****s. Which just isn't done. They sucked.
Therapy? were kick *** as usual. Some good moshing as usual. They're a real good band. Up teh Irish 'n stuff.
Il Nino were crappy and dull. Dull dull dull. Dull dull dull dull dull dull dull. They were boring too.
Slayer ROCKED! Yeah. Just brilliant. Angel of Death. Best Mosh Ever. Brilliant. Just outstanding.
System Of A Down. I know I'm probably going to get assaulted from all sides by saying this, but they sucked. Badly. The guy was a crap singer live, the guitarist was a crap cuitarist live, I didn't especialy like the songs they played, the moshing was just terrible. Their fans just didn't know how to do it right. People were actualy wearing glasses in the mosh pit. Which just isn't done.
Tool I thought would be really sucky, but they turned out to be really good. They didn't play moshing music, but that didn't matter because I was far to tired to mosh at that stage anyway. The music they played was all wierd and slow and ****, and they had outstanding visulisations. Really incredible. Also the singer was almost completely naked, and painted his whole body blue. Which was nice of him.
Ozzy never showed up! The bastard claimed he was sick. It was pretty disapointing, I was looking forward to seeing him. Ah well, lifes a *****.
All in all it was a pretty cool gig, and a good time was had by all.
