I just watched trigun tonight and it occured to me what a great story line it has people acting as vash, 60 bill dbl dollar reward and the misunderstanding of the real vash...My favorite cartoon used to be Dbz I think Trigun changed that I hope they make the series above 100 episodes and some how find a way to keep the story line interesting well Inu-Yahsa is on now...

Yeah, Trigun is a great show. Most people judge Trigun by the first few episodes but the story actually starts on Episode 12 (Diablo). All the previous episodes were character development, mind twisting/Confusing stuff and of course the occassional humour.

yeah, vash actually shot someone with his gun.
hard puncher (i think that's the name) was one of the best so far.
i think the first was just plain funny. when he knocks out the guy and takes his stuff, and the dude jumps up on the rock and tries to shoot at vash, and he throws [edit] his gun at him and hits the guy square in the face...

Sorry,Influences, but Trigun is an OVA and is only 26 episodes long.At least I'm pretty sure that's all there is.I'm not thrilled about Trigun being on TV.At least there's an upside, though.I finally get to see the rest of the show.I had only seen the first 4 episodes before.

P.S.It was his gun that he threw at the guy in episode 1.Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

    What?

Trigun is a series, not an OVA.

    *ahem*

i am about 99% of 1/2 sure he threw the guys gun at the guy on the cliff in episode one...i could be wrong but i dont think vash is dumb enough to throw his own gun away like that

See,it's not hard to think that it was HIS gun, right?

Although I figured Vash wouldn't throw his own gun.

It was the gun of the person he tripped when he was under the sand.

Trigun, Hellsing, and Rurouni Kenshin always were the ones that stuck to me.

I don't think it would be good to make that many episodes of trigun. It would kill the series, and they would run out of ideas. I've seen the whole series, and it's pretty conclusive at the end, and it wouldn't be smart to just make half-assed plots just to keep the show going. Look at DBZ... I used to watch it, until the plot got so slow and rediculous that I couldn't stand it anymore. I wouldn't want that to happen to my beloved Trigun. I'm already not very happy about it being on American Television... now it's dubbed, edited, and publicized. I hope it doesn't end up with a huge franchise of shitty merchandise like most other publicized animes recently.

    Yeah,

I used to watch Sailor Moon, like the first seasons, but after that it got really bad. Trigun should be 26 episodes, and no more.
Too bad that I only have access to the first 7 episodes on DVD in Sweden.

EDIT: Oh joy! Just found the Trigun box at a swedish webshop.
Cost: 250$, which is waay too much for me right nowT_T

I knew from Episode 1 that Trigun was going to be good, and I've watched all but six episodes (the last three, since they haven't aired them yet on CN, and three other ones that played when I didn't have a TV avalible). It had the right type of humor for me. But when I watched "Diablo," I was awed. I personally think that Trigun is one of the best shows out there *Fruits Basket being my top pick*. It has good artwork, great humor, deep characters (well, at least Vash and Knives. Wolfwood's got quite a story too). My only complaint is what happens to Wolfwood. I mean, I don't mind how he turned out... (come on, you know what I'm saying. I'm trying to avoid spoilers) It's just the way that they made it. They could've gone so much farther with those last few scenes from "Paradise". That's what I think, anyway. But it ranks as my second favorite episode, next to Diablo.

I personally are glad that they decided to air it on Cartoon Network. I probably wouldn't have been able to watch it otherwise. I'm usually very cautious when I go out to buy Anime. I do alot of research and viewing before I actually decide to purchase it. I have some complaints about the English voice actors (like Vash's laugh) but overall, I think it's good. Better than some of the stuff on Kenshin, anyway.

I don't think you have to worry about too much merchandise. Inuyasha is incredibly popular (my third favorite anime) and there's hardly any merchandise out. Though, I have to admit, I saw a Trigun shirt at Suncoast along with a Meryl keychain and a stuffed cat (I bought it... please forgive me ;) ).

They haven't edited much out of it, that I can see. I watched (I downloaded) Diablo and there's no difference in anything but dialogue (duh).

    Anyway, I'm rambling...

I would really suggest looking at ebay. I remember a while ago they were selling the whole series (that's how I read it, anyway) in English (bilingual DVDs) for $30. That's a steal, considering Best Buy sells it for $193.
