Inu-Yasha Kagome's Powers

In your opinion, do you think it's possible that Kagome is a lot more powerful than Inuyasha.


To me, it seems so. She has Kikyo's powers, and Kikyo was able to seal Inuyasha on a tree. Kagome was also able to severely wound Naraku, and I don't even remeber Inuyasha being able to touch him!

 

Quite frankly, I think Kagome is a whole lot more powerful then the majority of the Inuyasha cast (and no, not just because I'm biased ^_^), but her powers are still fairly dormant, and it remains to be seen if she can complete what would probably be a rigorous training course to fully awaken and unleash them, which probably won't be an occurrence since the Inuyasha gang lacks the time to focus on what they might consider a trivial task, or at least one that can be saved until they feel they truly require it.

 

but isn't kagome suppose to have stronger powers than inuyasha exept she just doesn't know it yet? anyway, i think that she's kinda stronger than inuyasha because well, she has the "osuwari" thing going on. but kagome's arrow thing is starting to get more powerful. some how.

 

Kagome is very powerfull I dont hnk she knows her full power yet should could even be stronger then Kikyou.she could hurt Naraku bad enough that he tryed to have her killed, if she was weak then he wouldnt bother.She can make InuYasha sit(tho it is the necklace) she has her arrow thing going,but it would be sooooo cool if she could do that shock thing Kikyou can do.I would be so super cool if Kikyou would teach Kagome.....maybe if Keade would(I didnt spell her name right...?)could Kea. teach her how to unlock her powers..she probley could.

 

Well technically, yes, her "osuwari" would give her a suitable advantage over Inuyasha, but if she were dense enough to involve herself in a battle with, say, Sesshomaru, that advantage would have no effect. And to be fair, "Osuwari" isn't derived from her own strength, rather Kaede's exceptional miko techniques, so you can't attribute it to Kagome's strength alone, seeing as her miko powers, if remaining nearly dormant, probably wouldn't have the capability of vanquishing Naraku except possibly in dire circumstances.

A side note: Yes, Kayasha, you have the correct spelling (or if I were Kaede I would reply Yes, ye have the correct spelling. Why did they decide to make her sould like "ye olde pirate" anyway? Kikyo doesn't sound like that, and they're supossed to be related. Maybe Kaede's rebelling against the English (or Japanese) language. Kagome's Arrow is going all ninja-kung-fu like on her).

 

Kagome's Power.

I think that Kagome does have a strong presence. She is a powerful girl, but she does not know that it exists. She was even stronger when she had the complete jewel in her body. I mean i think it was the first episode, but when she crossed over to the other side for the first time, she was attacked by a bunch of jewel demon diggers. OF COURSE inuyasha had no idea who she really was and didn't help save her. However, she did not need Inuyasha's help because she saved herself with her own awakened power. Needless to say, we have not really seen that burst of power (since jewel was removed) but her arrows are getting stronger and her will-power is incredibly strong, Tsubaki could not really grasp Kagome's body/mind complety.
