Manga Kare Kano

    Hmm, I'm going to go and throw this out, for people who *need* to see this. Note that this means everyone. Including you.

    Anyway, Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou (aka Kare Kano, His and Her Circumstances) came out in manga form, headed by Tokyopop about a month ago. Now, well, volume 2 is out.

    For those that have seen the anime...the manga is a direct and *finished* translation or...the other way around, actually, of the manga.

    i love kare kano ^^.. i've seen the 1-6 tv episodes and the 2 mangas from tokyopop.. i just luv em... ^^.. luv it luv it !!!!!!!! the story is just soooo kawaii..... BTW.. ow many episodes are there?

    Only 26...with a BIIIIIG "to be continued" on the end. But....there's no "continue". It ends after that...for either monetary, or timely reasons.

    In *any* case...manga goes on LOOOOONG after the anime ends. ^_^

    It ended because the original mangaka didn't like what gainax did to it. She wrote it to be split exactly half way between humour and love story, whereas gainax concetrated on the humour, giving the love story side less emphasis. The mangaka got pissed and said that they couldn't do a second series. Which is most unfortunate. This is why I'm really looking forward to the manga.

    i hate the fact there only 26 so far or to be. i've only seen up to twenty five and i absolutely love tsubusa. she's so cute. and arima-kun is so dreamy. <drools>

    *huff* I thought that GAINAX was doing a fantastic job... The anime was like the manga come to life. It followed it so closely that I was amazed. Not to mention I think the anime wa animated better than Tsuda could draw. Well, Tsuda-sensei's the mistress, I guess.

    And KareKano is one of my favorite manga series... I just adore Yukino-chan... She's amazing, as is Arima-kun and the others. Hideaki's one of those people you just wanna huggle to death too. :] And Pero^2!!! Wai~!

    Hehehe, I just forced Kare Kano upon my un-anime fan girlfriend, and am trying to get her hooked. And she likes it, so...yeah.

    Me and a friend never really liked Arima. I mean, he's cool and all, but I like the other guy better. The taller one. Hideaki Asaba. D'oh. But, I guess Arima's cool though...but it's all about Kano and Hiroyuki. Hehehe, they're cool.

    Waaai, Asaba-kun's such a cutie too.

    But I do prefer Arima-kun... I think that this is pushed more by the fact that I love his relationship with Yukino. They compliment each other so perfectly... and the coupling makes me like each character even more, if that makes sense. :]

    in kare kano there is a tall boy who used to be chubby. is it tomoe? the guy who had a dream to get revenge on the one who used to protect him from the others.

    edit:yeah i must say that tonami actually was probably my favorite character. i changed just to try and make a guy feel bad for always picking on me and my revenge felt so good.

    THe person you were referring to is Takefumi Tonami. He's Sakura's old friend. He wanted to impress her, so he became this star basketball player. He's in the manga moreso than the anime.

    Anyway, Sakura is the tomboyish one of Yukino's friends. The one who acts like Sylia from BGC...checks out the girls to see if they're cute enough to hang out with her. ^_^
