Who else here plays this great game?

I love it and my only dissapointment is the lack of anime sci-fi mods for it. I'd frickin love to rip through a fleet of Zentraedi ships, or pilot the Macross, or attack a Bird of Prey with some Gundams...

Anyway, anyone else here play it?

I'm more from the Bridge Commander camp, unlike my friend who's obsessed with KA. Non-star trek mods are pretty sparse in BC. A shame really, Enterprise vs. Nadesico would make for an interesting match.

I LOVE TO STAR TREK GAMES, BUT FLYING THE KLINGON SHIPS ARE VERY HARD.
I'LL STICK TO THE GOOD OLD FEDERATION STYLE SHIPS.

    Bah!

If it's not Starfleet Command II, it's not Star Trek!

Actually if you read Paramounts stance on whats canon in ST and what isnt, Starfleet Command II isnt really isn't Trek either. Basically only the shows and movies are ever really Trek, and with Branon and the other guy with B in his name at the helm, its too bad.

As for Klingon ships being hard to fly, did you even play Klingon Academy?

Bridge Commander I might buy... I played the demo and it was certainly interesting...

Personally I really wanna try a Macross vs a Sword of Kahless battle...

I played the demo of KA before it hit the stores--I felt the ships were a little hard to control.

The Star Fleet Command games are based on the Star Fleet Battles role playing game.
By the way--it is a very good game to play!!!!

    I know what hyperbole is.

However, theres been a few people in the past who've had horrendously zealous attitudes about games...

    Like 2 of my friends...
    Tyler: "TOTAL ANNIHILATION SUCKS!"
    Roman: "NO, STARCRAFT SUCKS!"
Tyler: "OH, WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I GO TO TA'S WEBSITE! OUT OF ORDER!"
Roman: "NO, YOU'RE OUT OF ORDER!"

And theres been others... hence my initial reaction. Quickly throwing up a counter-argument so effective it cannot be argued against. ^__^

I admit that the control does feel different from other games... but thats because these are big, lumbering capital ships, not fighter-craft... once you get used to it its quite effective and deadly... in one klingon Sword of Kahless, I can take on a team of 1 Ulysses, 2 Excelsior, and 2 Missouri. Granted it also takes a fair amount of power management and knowing what to fire at what, plus knowing when to fall back and hide for repairs... or lure them into traps.

I dont know if I could take on more. I havent tried... hmm... *loads up KA to find out*

So you are saying that you took on 5 Federation starships with one Klingon battle-cruiser.
What was the outcome of this suicide mission. Exactly how much damage did your ship take, and what damage did you give to them.
    Did you win this assault???

I would think just 2 Excelsior Class starships alone had to have given you a good beaten.

    What was the final tally............
