Japanese 'KON' reading, 'ON' reading?

    With kanji, how do you know when to use the ON reading or the KON reading?

    'Kun' readings are the native japanese words, you'll find these used when characters stand alone or with okurigana (conjugation hiragana)
    'On' readings are used pretty well only in Compounds, when kanji gather together, they're used.
