    hey i was wondering if anyone can help me.i was wondering if there are things i can buy so i dont have to use my phone anymore to go online.liek a modern or ainstall device something like that.thankz

    There are two ways you can get online with a laptop without using the modem. The first is to get broadband and a PCMCIA network adapter. You'll be looking at, at the least, $30 a month for this setup, plus the cost of installation in your area (which may or may not be free). Your second option is wireless internet, IF you have a corporation with a wireless network within range you can tap into that. This is, however, both unlikely and illegal. So if you wanna free up your phone lines, suck it up and get cable internet (or dsl).
