Learning frech wasnt an option in our school, but in the 9th grade had French be a optional subject. English is not an option in our school, so we got to learn English and Im not regreting any moment of it ^_^

    hahahahahahahahaha. *breathe*

My school offers nothing but french. And I took that from grade..4 til....10. And I know nothing, I really don't. The teaching system for it sucks around here. If they offered something cool like german or spanish, I'd have taken that. Probably wouldn't know how to teach that either, the incompetent nincompoops. *mutters*

I don't count English because it's my native language so most of the English classes in the schools I've gone too are more grammar/literature classes than actually learning to speak it (not counting the ESL classes here at college).

I took 7 years of German in grade school, plus another year of it in college, but I haven't learned all that much. I can pick out random stuff and understand the gist of a lot of phrases without looking things up, but I really can only speak it well enough to beg for a translator (and ask where the bathroom is, but that's an essential phrase to learn, ne?).

I'm now enrolled in Japanese 101 for this coming Fall semester. ^_^

Becuase I live in a bilingual country, it's enforced by the government to learn both English and French until the 9th grade. I also went to a French school for five years so I know quite my share of French, and English, and other languages I know becuase of my musical and opera studies or becuase I feel like learning the language.

I went to all irish schools all my life, so everything I learned was through Irish (except of course, english). so all in all, the languages i studied/learned in school were irish/english/french/german . i stopped german when i was about 14/15 because there wasn't enough demand for a class, so I did french instead.

i don't really see Irish as a language that I *studied* though, it's just the language I spoke and used in school, i studied things through it.. but i didn't study it in itself..

I have finished english A and B with good results, by the way I'm Swedish, and have read english a lot.

in 7th grade to 9th I had a class called all worlds english (I know its bad translated now but whp the hell cares) and we didnt even get a grade in it... we wasted 3 years and for what?? NOTHING..

OK we knew that we wouldnt get any grade in it but we had one hell of a fun time giving the teachers their worse time ever (we had 6 teachers for 3years) and we mostly watched movies and wrote about 3lines about them.. why the hel should we have written more for??? we didnt get any grade anyway
