Video Games Legacy of Kain - Defience

Can somebody please tell me when this game is coming out in europe cause im about to do me nut waiting for it and all i have are the trialers that are on the website. So please help me cause this game looks bloody cool.


By the way i'm fully aware that my name is Kain and that i'm looking for a game with the same name so theres no need to point that out!

Legacy Of Kain:Soul Reaver was absolutely my favorite game ever! Unfortuanately, I only have a PS1, so have not even played Soul Reaver 2. I could get a PS2, but I'd probably only use it for the L.O.K games!

 

It's OK i found out that it's coming out on the 6th Feb.
I can't wait, i'm shaking in my boots just thinking about it. I love that story.

 

I checked out the Eidos website, late last year, and they had some info/screenshots...hav'nt seen it on the covers of any games mags....I've only played the first Soul Reaver, but it's a classic!

 

I just got a copy of Legacy of Kain - Defiance.

The game is running smoothly on my computer and the graphics are great. Not to mention the detailed lip synthing in the cut scenes.

One thing that lowers my interest for this game is the very, VERY, annoying camera.
Why? I mean, they could have a "Max Payne" liked camera, this only makes the player more and more frusterated!

The game is bloody brilliant. I love the new battle system and the new moves, i don't think i'll ever get tired of them.
The camera is still a problem. I don't think Crystal Dynamics have ever really managed to fix it cause people have been complaining about it since the first Soul Reaver game.
But it's still a great game.

 

I don't think I can really put into words how disappointed I was with this game... Christ, they made figuring out the story-line a bloody chore. Video games aren't supposed to be a chore! > I prefer Raziel with a spear, also, personally. The Soul Reaver is just... hrm... what's the word? Stupid. I miss Blood Omen 1 and Soul Reaver 1... y'know... when the series didn't suck.

 

After finishing the game last night, I am SO glad I can finally uninstall this game. Really, the story is neat, but the fight system is too much of the same. Kain and Raziels movements and attack are almost similar. And not to mention the constant going back and forward, get reaver, get this, and do it all over at the next level. The most annoying thing must be the camera.

The good thing about this game is the graphics, decent lipsynching during the cutscenes...and that's about it.

I played this game for about an hour or so with a couple of friends on Sunday. It's pretty repetitive, although the acting wasn't bad. Too little depth in combat, too much jumping on platforms without really doing anything.

 

Really? From what I hear from you guys I can sum up that it's not good at all. Do you really not recommend it? I love this series, and I really want to know what happens next. Unfortunately, I dont have a copy of the game so I still haven't played it yet.

How about the story? Is it resolved? Is there any indication of any more sequels?

 

Based on the bit I played, I'd say rent it, and if you're impressed, buy it then. Don't go and rush out to your local store and pick up a copy, because it doesn't seem like anything special.
Like I said, though, I only played a bit. It could have gotten better right after I stopped playing.
