Slayers Universe Let's get Magical!

Black Magic

Shadow Snap
With the ablity to stop almost any opponent, this spell uses a sharp object, preferably a dagger or knife, to be pierced into the targets shadow. The victim will no longer be able to do anything as to change the shadow in any way. The spell will last until the caster desires it, if a separate light source is used to shift the original shadow, thus releasing the victim, or if the blade is removed.

Summon
In most case, a magical circle is first drawn in order to summon a monster or demon. Rezo used this 2 times during the first 10 episodes. The first was used to bring Zorom of the Monster race. The second, could be considered, when he used one in order to ressurect Shabranigdo.

Dynast Breath
I'm not sure what this spell does, but it appears in Slayers Royal. More info later...

Zelias Bleed
A beam of massive negative energy is launched from the caster and travals in random directions toward the target. -from Slayers Royal-

Gaav Flare
The "not so common spell". Chaos Dragon Gaav is the source for this one. Though it's a step under the Dragon Slave, a good spell if you don't want to destroy an entire villiage.

Dragon Slave
The Dragon Slave is the most powerful spell of Black Magic. With the power of a small nuke, it can take done almost any opponent. When the spell was first seen, there was a dragon that was ravaging the country, and a wise man used a spell called the Dragon Slayer (from the info gotten during Tape3:Episode9). But throughout time, spell's name has been corrupted and changed to Dragon Slave. Currently, Lina is so proficient with the spell, she is able to cast it without the chant.


White Magic

Light
Lighting allows the caster to illuminate the area around. The amount of light can be changed to his/her needs. If they want to blind someone, they can turn it up to a pure-white light.

Heal
Healing is a basic spell used to heal small wounds. It can be used individually, or used for wide-spread healing. The strength of the spell depends on the caster. If the caster is weaker in the white arts, then he/she isn't able to heal larger wounds; as opposed to the stronger caster's ability to heal the wound as well as (maybe) repair the clothing that was destroyed too.

Decleary (Cure)
Decleary is also known as a 'cure' spell. Like the Heal spell, it's strength is based on the caster's ability. The spell is used for the people that have been knocked out in battle and need to wake up, or just to clear a runny nose or something.

Sleep
This spell COULD be considered an offensive type. But it doesn't do anything to harm anything, so I put it here. Anyways, the spells name is self-explanatory, it simply puts things to sleep.

Reverse Time
The only time I seen this spell was during Tape1:Episode3 when Lina chucked a fireball into a room, and later Rezo used this spell to bring the room back to its original state BEFORE Lina destroyed it.

Ressurection
This spell, as the name implies, ressurects people. Because it's a fairly difficult spell to cast, it's mainly reserved for the higher class sorcerer(-es).

Holy Bless
This only appears in Slayer Royal (that I've seen). But it seems that it only affects spirits and some of the undead. And it's fairly similar to the Meggido Flare.

Meggido Flare
With a magical enhancer, the spell is used against spirits. Creating a column of positive spiritual energy, it sucks up any spirits in the area.

Fire

Flare Arrow
The most simple of fire-based spells. Resembling a flaming arrow (surprise!). It can take many forms, like the bow-and-arrow, thrown, or just fired from the hands. This quick-moving death won't destroy most opponents, but just knock them out, and/or severly burning them. Or, it has totally NO effect at all...

Fire Ball
A basic spell. Ranging from a 'pop' to an explosion that'll blow up an mountain, the spell's power depends on the caster's will. This also seems to be Lina's favorite.

Burst Rondo
Dozens of miniature fire balls flying at high-speed, each able to make small explosions. Similar to the flare arrow, this spells seems to be more effective proximity-wise. The arc in which it travels in is fairly large, and the caster has little difficulty hitting the target.

Blast Bomb
This spells seems to be similar to the Burst Rondo, except the explosions are much larger.

Bram Gash
After a beam of fire is launched and the impact leaves the entire area burning and on fire. -from Slayers Royal-



Ice

Freeze Bullet
This spell seems as if the caster 'shoots' an salvo of tiny, sharp chunks of ice. -from Slayers Royal-

Freeze Arrow
Looking exactly like the Flare Arrow, this spell instead is made of a large piece(-es) of ice.

Ice Lance
A massive beam of ice is cast toward the target, pierces, and impales for the duration of the spell. -from Slayer Royal-

Van Rehl
A web of ice is created. A good defensive spell, it is effective against flame-based attacks.

Ly Brym
Similar to the Freeze Arrow. But instead, on impact it will freeze the target in a shell of ice, imobilizing it.

Demona Crystal
The higher class of ice spells. There are two ways I've seen the spell used: the first is that the caster launhces the spell toward the ground. After contact, the spell will trail the ground in whatever direction the caster desires. If it comes in contact with anything, it'll encase the object/target with a shell of ice, like the Ly Brym, but much more powerful. The second way I've seen it used was that the caster launches it into the air, and like the first version, freezes the target.



Air

Diem Wing
A useful spell if you want to move someone to a safer place where they can't cause any trouble. It can be used to create a shield of wind. This spells has many forms, depending on what the caster desires. Most of the time though, it's used as a concentrated beam of wind, knocking the target back and away.

Elmekia Lance
One of the stronger of wind spells. It's an effective offensive spells that'll cut through most opponents.

Digger Bolt
The first of the lightning-based spells. A channel of lightning is run through the casters and travels in the general direction he/she faces.

Mono Bolt
Unlike the more chaotic Digger Bolt, this spell is concentrated and could be considered more powerful. This spell isn't used just for destructive purposes, it can be used to stun or knock someone out.

Levitation
Allows the caster to hover in air. Though not as versatile as the Raywing, it puts the caster in a more safer position.

Ray Wing
A common spell that has various uses. A current of wind surrounds the caster and allows them to fly anywhere at high speeds.

Bram Blazer
A funnel of tightly focused wind cuts through anything in its path.



Earth

Dug Haut
Columns of rocky spikes shoot from the ground, impaling the target. The area-of-effect can be in a circular area around the caster or any specific location they desire.

Dill Brand
First, a circular out-line is magically traced under the target. The traced area then explodes upward, taking the victim up with it. This's also one of Lina's favorite spells.

Vlave Howl
Molten lava is called up from the ground and is controlled by the caster in any way possible.



Spiritual

Belfis-Bring
From what I've seen, this spell removes any barrier or wall in the way.

Astral Vine
Zel seems to be the only one to be able to cast this spell. He calls on the powers of the Astral Plane to sharpen and enhance his, or any of the others, swords. This makes the sword more effective against opponents, and will cut through anything with little difficulty.

Visafarank
Amelia looks like she's found a way to enhance her hand-to-hand combat abilities. Similar to the Astral Vine, her hands light up as she's ready to punch something. The force of the attack is much more stronger than a normal punch.

Balus Rod
I'm not sure what this spell does. It seems to stun the target for a short time.

Ra-Tilt
The strongest attack spell of the Shaministic group. This spell attcks the opponent from the Astral Plane, destroying their souls. It is equal to the Dragon Slave of the black arts, but not as physically destructive.

Dark Magic

Laguna Blast
I didn't really know what to classify this spell in, but I put it in here 'cause it's similar to the Laguna Blade in more than one way O_O. The only place I saw this spell being used is in Slayers Return. Targeted in a similar fashion as the Dill Brand, the affected area is instead sucked into the darkness.

Laguna Blade
A highly uncontrollable blade of nightmare energy is used as a sword or a beam. Tingling with electricity, this spell seems to be able to cross into another plane. Maybe the Astral Plane, I don't know. But it is able to hurt the Mazoku (Monster Race), and most spells have no effect at all. The beam will go through anything that comes in contact with it. A magical enhancer or a talisman is needed to cast cast this spell effectively.

Giga Slave
A variation from the Dragon Slave. This spell is (naturally) much more powerful and destructive. After contact, the darkness will consume the victims body and soul, utterly destroying them. It is also rumored that each time this spell is used, the caster is selling a part of their soul to The Dark Lord of Knightmares. So this spell would be used a last resort (as the fight against Shabranigdo was).

I'm sure there are more though But wasn't Ra Tilt used in something else other than slayers? I could swear I've heard of it b4 Slayers... Maybe in Violinist of Hameln.

 

Hmm... that last one doesn't sound familiar at all, Guy. I don't think I heard it in Hameln. However, for the record, I do know that the Jesus Slash is from Hameln.

Pretty complete set here! However, I thought that Elmekia Lance was a Spirtual Shaman Magic, not Wind-based..

Wasnt the sword Zangalass<---prob spelled wrong,used magicaly enhanched? and he shot that howl thingy i havent watch slayers in a long time so sorry bout spelling.
