    Heh, since you said desert...

There's this Filipino desert called "Halo-Halo" (literally: "Mix-Mix"). It's pretty much naturally sweet beans (like this kind of red bean... and taro root) and fruits (like jack fruit) and pretty much anything sweet that is native to the area.

Put this all in a cup, add some shaved ice on top, and let loose with the condensed milk. Shake well, and you've got "Halo-halo".

Good because it's refreshingly fruit-tastic. Bad because the condensed milk'd kill ya. ^_^

Kinda like, healthy and bad for you at the same time. Go figure. ^_^

Hmm...Canadian, Canadian, Canadian...what is chiefly Canadian?

Hard to really define, since Canada is a mosaic country which incorporates so many cultures and nationalities...

    Pancakes with Maple Syrup?
    Chocolate Moose?
Are those Log Cabin desserts Canadian?

I think we should see some recipes on here, too. Not everyone can eyeball the portions of "lingonsylt" needed to mix with Machboos and Mix-Mix. :)

Hmm maybe they are the same! :) Did u try it in a certain country?

Hey Zanza Baklawa originates from Lebanon, ^_^ not our country, but it's a traditional sweet and a Must try!

I've got to say KUNAFA and SU3ayBEyat! They are the second best next to Baklawa! but these have lebanese origins.

good norweigen treat...Lefsa. it's kinda a flat...dough thing. the way we do it in my family, is you butter one side, sprinkle a healthy amount of brown sugar inside, and roll it up. eat.
it rules for some really odd reason *^-^*
krumkaka is really good too. it's a cookie..thing..lol
really thin, you cook it quick and then when you remove it from the iron, you roll it up and then roll in powdered sugar.

You've got to have Skyline Chilli, its the greatest stuff in the world! Its a local chain thats only in Cincinnati, though I hear they are trying to move North to Columbus Ohio. Its spagetti with chilli, onions, and special chili with brown sugar in it. Topped with a heaping load of cheese.

    Ohhh its heaven.

my fav thing to cook is chicken.
Im an american and i don't really know what is an "american dish"

i fav dish is well its easy to make.
take breastmeat no bones or skin chicken like five or three pounds put in a dish able to go in the oven. Sprinkle with chicken seasoning
add in a large can of cream of mushroom soup and cream of chicken enough to cover the chicken. add more chicken seasoning enough to cover the soup on top. Cover it and then put in oven at 375 to bake for like One hour and a half. as long as the chicken is 180 F
Make rice (any will do i usually use white long grain)
Take out chicken and stir the gravy
put gravy on rice and enjoy

    Chicken Bashers way :D
