fs.. it's fallible. As long as we are dogging spelling, I might as well get a lick in and set us all straight, cause I know we all care.

and the jews don't have an 'old testament'

    FYI

Lilith is described in holy Jewish texts. She did not make it in the Bible, that much is true, but remember that the Bible is a relatively new concept.

The word 'bible' is simply greek for 'books' and there are many Jewish and Christian texts which have not made it into the modern Bible. The book of Dragoon would be an example.

In Jewish writings, Lilith was Adam's first wife but refused to accept her subservient status to him. Actually this is demonstrated by her refusing to be under him during sex.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, she was ejected from Eden, Adam for a new wife in Eve, Lilith made a pack with the devil to kill Eve but failed.

Lilith and another person (one theory being that the other was the devil himself) had a child called 'Lillin'. I don't know what bearing this has on the fact that the last angel refers to humans as the Lillin but I'm sure it must have some.

Another religious reference in Eva is the Chamber of Gof where all the Rei clones are kept. In another acient Jewish text (the name escapes me right now) the Chamber of Gof is where souls are kept before people are born. Where the Reis are would seem to be an ironic name therefore, since there are bodies but no souls.

Oh yes, so I see. This thread really should be merged with that one, if such a thing is possible.

  9. Lilith---for the ones who need her most

There are several lost or hidden books of the Bible. The sepher yitzirah describes the romance of original sin connected with a demon that seduces adam. She had red hair and green eyes. At this time she may have looked like a woman. Lilith
(pronounced lilit) later became the mother of nightmares and the killer of unborn children. Jewish folklore reminds mothers to write the name of Gabriel on thier bellies to protect thier unborn babies. This is the first banshee of the western hemisphere.Lilith is the dark side of mother nature and to love her is to love death and dying. God is the spirit of nature and a perfect being cant be described by an imperfect being so every holy book is flawed. Choose your poison. ok.......ok Im waaaay too serious lets talk about manga and lighten up :)
