Anime Live Action Perfect Blue out soon

I'm just downloading the trailer now.
Don't really know any of the details about this movie aside from it's August 24th release date.

I have trouble imagining a live action. It would be hard to reproduce in that format. If you see it please give a review, but until then I don't want to ruin my image of Perfect Blue (anime) by adding in a poorly done live action.

The Akira rumour has been around for years.

The only thing I can confirm is that at Comicon this year, James Cameron said he was interested in doing a live action version of Battle Angel Alita and Evangelion.

He only said "interested" though, that doesn't mean it'll ever happen.

Only thing I've heard regarding Akira was something about Otomo being involved with a major new project, and him saying something about not seeing Tetsuo actually die in the original.
The source was not great on that though so I very much doubt it's true.
