I was going through all the old stuff in my room, and I came across a game called Lone Wolf & Cub. It is supposed to be based on a manga of the same name (I don't know the original title, though) about the head executioner of Japan, who's wife is murdered by the Yagyu clan, who want to take over his position. The man is framed for the murder, and is forced to wander the land with his young son in search of his wife's killer.

Can anyone tell me more about this?

Ahem. I'm no expert. I started picking up the graphic novels on a slow week when none of my usual comics came in and now I'm hooked and I'm picking up a graphic a week. I'm up to 9. Apparently Dark Horse are up to about 21 and they go up to nearly 30. I'm not sure.
You've got the basic plot right there (although he isn't really searching for his wife's killer, he's earning money as an assassin in order to get back at the Yagyu, who he knows are responsible) but the stories are very varied and don't even all centre around an assassination. The translations seem to be really good (I can't know, I've never seen Japanese originals and couldn't read them if I had!) and there's a lot of terms that they use the Japanese word for and explain it, rather than looking for an English semi-equivalent, which I like too. The art is brilliant, if occasionally graphically violent and with semi-'graphic' sex scenes. Not for the average Pokemon fan.
The main character is called Ogami Itto and his baby son is called Daigoro.
They made some live action movies based on the manga as well. I'm not sure how many.
    I think it's brilliant.

I'm sorry, GNZ, I don't know what gets into me sometimes. You probably just haven't had a chance to check my post. And there's me acccusing you of bad manners. How ironic.
