So I decided to get back into a dentist after a three year lapse. As everyone knows, it can take a bit to get me motivated into getting things done, and the massive workload I'd had recently didn't help any. I was due for a checkup about the month after I'd moved up here, so about a year and a half later, and thanks to poor dental hygiene on my part, my gums got to the point where I couldn't ignore them.

So I booked an appointment and went on on Monday for the works, since it had been so long since my last records were taken - X-rays, Panscan, probing and measurements - a good hour or more of examining every aspect of my mouth.

Lo and behold, when it was all over, I was told I passed with flying colours.

    Yeah, right.

There's a good amount of plaque built up on my teeth, some of it even hardened into calculi. I was told a few of my teeth have some receding gumlines, which should be fine after cleaning and better attention. Some of my lower teeth displayed some chipping (I was asked a couple times if I grind my teeth - I don't. But then again, I might chipped during those stressful working nights). And when the X-rays came out, three cavities. I was told only one was deep and needed filling, but the others are going to be capped off.

So lucky me, I get to go under the drill again - something I haven't done since I was around 12 or 13. I should have kept up with things more diligently, but thems the brakes. ^^
