this isn't too much about politics, but has to do with Tolkein. Found on the internet:
    ______________________
Recently one of my friends, a computer wizard, paid me a visit.

As we were talking I mentioned that I had recently installed Windows 95 on my PC. I told him how happy I was with this operating system, and showed him the Windows 95 CD. To my surprise he threw it into my microwave oven and turned the oven on. Instantly I got very upset, because the CD had become precious to me, but he said: 'Do not worry, it is unharmed.' After a few minutes he took the CD out, gave it to me and said: 'Take a close look at it.' To my surprise the CD was quite cold to hold and it seemed to be heavier than before. At first I could not see anything, but on the inner edge of the central hole I saw a inscription, an inscription finer than anything I have ever seen before. The inscription shone piercingly bright, and yet remote, as if out of a great depth:
    12413AEB2ED4FA5E6F7D78E78BEDE8209450920F923A40EE10E510CC98D444AA08E1324
'I cannot understand the fiery letters,' I said.
'No, but I can,' he said. 'The letters are Hex, of an ancient mode, but the language is that of Microsoft, which I shall not utter here. But in common English this is what it says:'

One OS to rule them all, One OS to find them,
One OS to bring them all and in the darkness bind them...

Allow me to be blunt. Bush is a s***head. He has less smarts than the average fish. Add to that the fact that he's incredibly power hungry with terribly misguided views. He's a right wing powerhungry stupid evil satanic bastard. And he's going to go to hell.
Now, I'm not saying you're any of these things, I just plain hate Bush and every single thing since he's been elected(which he won despite having got less votes). Bush sucks.

I only feel like addressing a tiny bit of that:
At least he graduated from university (harvard no less), unlike his opponent who got more votes than him. Saying Bush is stupid is well, a bit ridiculous. Feel free to disagree with his policies though, that's your prerogative. Chances are you'll have another Clinton in the White House someday, so keep hoping ;)

Most of my beef with Mr Bush lies in the fact that he's a moron. He seems to be getting better, but the man is not, by any means, a smart man. I think having an idiot as our figurehead is a poor idea.

Also, I do not like the fact that he is focusing so much on Iraq, while for the past 2 years he's virtually ignored the economy. I am not completely against action in Iraq, but I would rather have fixing our own problems at a higher priority than it has been since Bush's election.

Just my $0.02. But I voted last election, so I get to complain :p

do you know why we are focusing on Iraq? it's the oil, that place provides 40% of our oil. if it wasn't for that we wouldn't be over there. and Unless you feel like you need to walk your happy asses to and from the supermarket or where ever it is you go to everyday, then you need to realize why focusing on Iraq is such an important thing to do.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything.

He is working on our economy as well, this is one of the reasons he gave a 13 week extention for jobless benefits.

Actually, we are focusing on Iraq because we are fairly sure they have weapons that they are planning to use against ourselves and our allies, pay attention to the news.

<personal opinion> And cause Bush Sr. didn't finish the job that he started. </personal opinion>

Iraq is doing nothing about our oil situation, OPEC is. Saddam has no control over OPEC or the prices of oil. The only, only way the US would gain any economic gain from action against Iraq would be if we outright conquer it and take it as our own. Newsflash: That ain't happening.

I prefer Bush over Clinton anyday. Only thing that kept that basturd in office was how good the economy was doing during that time. Other than that, he didn't do jack in the political arena. Sure, he got the NAVY to Tomahawk Bin Laden's bases, but that probably pissed him off rather than did any real damage. Clinton was just a wuss and sat by like one of those guys who let everyone talk about them. And thats not even all of the wacky stuff he did. I prefer agressive more than passive, but my only problem with Bush is that he's too damn agressive. He better take some downers or something to mellow out....

"There ought to be limits on freedom."
    -George W. Bush

There's that, for one. He's also a tad on the discriminatory side when it comes to religion.

Also, he's hideously uneducated when it comes to other nations. Now I don't mean small things like the name of some dictator in a 3rd world nation nobody has ever heard of.

I mean screwing up the name of Canada's Prime Minister!

Rick Mercer, on his tv special 'Talking To Americans', went up to Bush during the campaign run. He said it to two others, including the governor of Michigan, but Bush took the cake. What was it he said?

"Rick Mercer, CBC News, Canada! Prime Minister Poutine thinks you are the man who should lead America into the new Millenium!"
"Well, tell him I said Thank Ya."

Chretian does not sound like Poutine.

By the way, Poutine is a dish made of french fries, gravy and cheese curds.

Oh, one last thing: this was after that incident where he was criticized for his lack of knowledge when it came to nations leaders and he said "I have rectified my mistake. You can't stump me on leaders now!"

And now, I leave you with a few more instances of his blatent stupidity.

"I mean, there needs to be a wholesale effort against racial profiling, which is illiterate children." - Oct. 11, 2000

"We cannot let terriers and rogue nations hold this nation hostile" - Sep. 9, 2000 (a terrier is a dog...)

"There's an old saying in Tennessee—I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee—that says, fool me once, shame on—shame on you. Fool me—you can't get fooled again."—Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 17, 2002

"There's no bigger task than protecting the homeland of our country." (Pangea?)

"Do you have blacks, too?"—To Brazilian President Fernando Cardoso, Washington, D.C., Nov. 8, 2001 (Bush, you numbskull!!!)

"For a century and a half now, America and Japan have formed one of the great and enduring alliances of modern times."—Tokyo, Japan, Feb. 18, 2002 (Yeah, Pearl Harbour was just a war-game, you silly twit!)

"Neither in French nor in English nor in Mexican."—Declining to answer reporters' questions at the Summit of the Americas, Quebec City, Canada, April 21, 2001 (For those who live in far, far off places, not only do Mexicans speak Spanish, not Mexican, but Canada does not have Spanish as an official language.)

"It's your money. You paid for it."—LaCrosse, Wis., Oct. 18, 2000

"Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning?"—Florence, S.C., Jan. 11, 2000 (Especially grammar?)

    And finally...

    "They misunderestimated me."—Bentonville, Ark., Nov. 6, 2000
