Anime Loveless anime

Has anyone seen the fairly new anime series called Loveless yet? I believe there are about 11 episodes out already. Also, Loveless is a shonen ai too ^_^ I find that the plot moves at a slow pace, but i still think it's good. I guess the only problem i have is that hot Soubi who's an adult (here goes my ranting) has the hots for the elementary school student! ?_?

Anyhoo, a brief description is that Aoyagi Ritsuka, who's in the 6th grade, has an elder brother that was killed two years ago. One day, a mysterious person named Agatsuma Sobi appears. He asks Ritsuka to become the new Sacrifice to avenge his brother's death. Oh, and the children in this film has kitty ears and tails! Kittyboys... :catgirl: :bleed2:

O_O it's shounen ai?! tte, more or less... kinda pedophile-ish one...?! GYAH!!!! i HAVE TO SEE THAT SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It sounds allright. Not something I'd go "whoa" to, but eh, sounds like something promising. Maybe i'll take a look at it once my computer stops sucking so much. (IE slows me down)

Im hanging on every ep at the m oment, this and Speed Grapher are my current favourites. but probably people who dont get the BL genre are not going to like the relation ship between Ritsuka and Soubi. (Soubi is actually called a paedophile by some characters). You will love it though yakamashi-kun. ^^

Also the art and animation, character design, music etc are fantastic.

 

yes, my friend told me about this one, he was like ever heard of Loveless? and i was like nop, he told me to watch it cus its pretty good, then after watching some i believe that it is good, the graphics are good too. as u said yes the plot does go slowly but i guess taht is how it is supposed to be huh?? but anyways.. good good.. i would recommend u guys to take a look at it.. pretty nice..

Yeah, but keep in mind that guys might like Loveless also, it's got shoujo-ai in it, too! It's refreshing to see both in one series... that usually doesn't happen.
Anyway I've seen up to episode 10 and I love it though. I'm really dying to see the conclusion, is there really going to only be 12 episodes?
Hmm... yeah, I suppose Soubi is a bit of a pedophile being that he's 20 and Ritsuka's only 12 or so. But it's not like they do anything other than kiss, really.

 

I watched about 4-5 episodes of this and i really just got bored of it. Comparied to some of the other animes that i was watching it was just moving to slowly and it wasn't able to hold my interest anymore so i kinda gave up on it and reserved my hard drive space for other things.
I have to admit that i thought that it was a well drawn anime and the cat ears and tail thing was kinda cute as well but that about it to be honest.

 

Only twelve episodes?? Oh? It doesn't even look like it's coming to an end. I've only seen up to episode nine or ten... but still. Aww. I heard the manga is really good though. I hope it comes to North America soon ^_^

 

Yeah, but I just finished 11, and the next episode is called "Endless." Also, in the preview for it,

Ritsuka is saying that his fate has changed drastically and "I don't want anyone else to die! I just started liking them!" And you see all of his friends and Soubi crouched over, looking dead... then it shows his brother, Seimei...

So it seems that it would be the last one... it looks like it's gonna be really sad.

 

Haven't heard about it, can anyone fill me in?

 

I watched the 12th episode... AKA, the LAST ONE??!?!!@# That was NOT an ending. the wrap up started on the last episode and it was building up to one big climax then END. It leaves you on a cliffhanger, and not a good one either! GIVE ME MORE SOUBIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!

Loveless is an okay anime...

 

It was a definitely good ending ; )

They left for us to decide what is going to hapen to Ritsuka in the future : )

a hint has been shown in the 12 eps. (The LAST one ) So we already know that everything from Ritsuka's dream is going to happen in reality in the future... but sure it's quite difficult to understand about Seimei feelings. Seimei is alive ( and I think, he's fom Seven Moons organization )
and he must keep silence, for the sake of 7 Moon's secret plans or mision (well it's just my guessing, because I don't think, that all this spell fights-between-fighters+sacrifices thing is just for fun, and there even are fighters schools and Zeros, so it CAN'T be just for fun ?!?!?!)

But, because of Seimei's "death", his mother becomed aggressive... it isn't good to Ritsuka, is it....

So I should start watching it then? I have 12 episodes so far. I wanted to at some point but keeping up with others is getting to be really hard.

 

You know guys...I joined this forum JUST because there's this heavenly post devoted to LOVELESS. I'm so happy. I watched the entire 12 episode series and fell in love!

This is a little off topic but I was in the store called WARP 9 the other day and it's got all the anime and comic book collectibles and imported Japanese magazines. Well there was this one magazine (I forget what it's called and am tooo lazy to go look in my room) and it had this like two-page big poster of Ritsuka and Soubi and I bought the magazine solely based on that. I know how to read/speak Japanese but they stuff in that magazine (whish is solely printed in Japanese) is a little bit advanced for me. Isn't it silly that I wenyt through all that just for an AWESOME LOVELESS POSTER??!

Anyway back to the series. I seriously think that they're going to make a second series. Hopefully they'll see that it's so popular amoung the ever-growing underground fangirl/fanboy culture that they'll decide to make it a standard set (meaning 24 episodes). I can't wait until I find LOVELESS on dvd here in Michigan. I'm going to buy it ASAP.

I'm like the biggest LOVELESS fan out there. Of course you guys are too.

Oh yeah there was a comment someone made in an earlier post (and I'm loo lazy to quote it) but they were talking about how Semei was really alive and everything in Ritsuka's dream was going to come true, well you must have thought a lot about that. It was HiYori. I applaud you. I wouldn't have thought of that. I thought it was just Seimei's ghost because he was that weird purply glowy color. Also, don't you think that Ritsuka would put two and two together and figure out that Semei was behind his crazy death dream?

Wow ; ) it's really great that there are such a cool stores : ) You see, in our country there is none, but I, as a big anime & manga fan, get all stuff in Brussels, thought it isn't very convenient...

Ok, about Loveless....
I also think, that there is more waiting for us. A hint has been given in 12 ep end., when Ritsuka said "At that time, something was beginning..."

Oh, and Seimei isn't a ghost, cause in Japan it is said, that Ghosts don't have legs, so if one still have them, he's alive ; ) That's how it is ^_^

My contention is that Ritsuka has already realized that Seimei was behind his 'crazy death dream' (as you said)
Ritsuka even asked Soubi --> "If Seimei came back to life, and ordered you to kill me, what would you do? ..."

Well, I liked this anime. I wasn't to crazy about the story of it though.. I did love the characters in this anime.

I hope that they do have a second season for this anime, by the way it looked in the last episode it might happen.

 

i heard a second season was in the works and the manga will be coming over to North America too. These are just rumours though.

 

Second season would be great ; ) if *even* DC has one...
