I saw this on a couple of other forums, and I think it sounds like fun.
Here's the idea. Someone posts a few lines from a song, and the other people have to try to figure out the artist and the song. Whoever gets it puts up a few lines from another song, and the game perpetuates itself. Quotes should be as exact as possible, but I'm sure we can allow some liberties in that regard.
Here's an easy one (easy because I already put the lyrics in another thread) to get started.

"Have you ever been a part of something
That you thought would never end
But then of course it did"

You can go longer or shorter than that, it's up to you.

    Rise Against - Everchanging.. I think that's it >_<

    "The longer I'd stall
    The further I'd crawl
    The further I'd crawl
    The harder I'd fall
I was crawlin' into the fire"

Cowboy Bebop it! Gotta Knock a Little Harder... yes? Am I supposed to post lyrics now? Erm... here's an easy one :) Sorry about the Japanese but the English should make up for it

    "Honto no kimochi kitsukanai furishite
    Totsuzen futari koi ni ochitano
    Let Me Be With You
    Let Me Be With You
    Let Me Be With You
    Dakishimetaino"

    I hope the person after can think of a harder song -_-;

"Let Me Be With You" is the title, I'm guessing... from Chobits... right? I KNOW I saw the lyrics once, but I couldn't remember what they were from exactly.

    Here's my go at it:

nureta hitomi no oku aoi tsuki wa shizuka ni kobore ochite yuku

Azayaka na sekai wa oto mo naku shizuka ni yami ni kiete yuku

byou yomi no naka kake meguru yami no naka o
soshite arata naru toki o mukae ima ...

or, if you prefer in English:

Deep inside eyes overflowing with tears, the blue moon falls to pieces...

Without a sound, the brilliant world vanishes in darkness

Running around in the dark during the countdown
A new time will arrive, now

That would be Eden, by To Destination, from Yami no Matsuei, and also a very difficult one.
    Now it's my turn:

    "Hey ho, let's go
    Shoot'em in the back now
What they want, I don't know
They're all reved up and ready to go"

One of the most fun songs ever written, and anyone who's ever been to a hockey game has probably heard it.

    The Ramones - Blitzkreig Bop.

    Here's mine:

Tha sun ablaze as Maria's foot
    Touches tha surface of sand
    On northern land
    As human contraband
    Some rico from Jalisco
Passed her name to tha boss
She stuffed ten to a truckbed
    She clutches her cross
    Here comes tha exhaust
And it rips through her lungs
She's off fast to tha pasture
    Like cattle she'll cross

    That's enough :)

    Note the spelling :)

    Rage against the machine- Maria

    heres mine

It takes a lot to know what is love
It's not the big things, but the little things
    That can mean enough
A lot of prayers to get me through
And there is never a day that passes by
    I don't think of you
You were always there for me
    Pushing me and guiding me
    Always to succeed

if you need more just ask :D
hehe its kinda hard not a very known song

I'm pretty sure that's Metallica, To Live Is To Die

They say there's a Heaven for those who wait
Some say it's better, but I say it ain't
I'd rather laugh with the sinners
    Than cry with the saints
The sinners have much more fun

Fairly certain that's how it goes, heheh.

It came to me at work last night. Billy Joel, Only The Good Die Young.
    Now it's my turn:

"If you could read my mind, love, what a tale my thoughts would tell
    Just like a paperback novel
    The kind a drugstore sells
When it gets to the part where the heartache comes, the hero would be me
    Heroes often fail."

And I want the original singer, not the crap-lousy cover.

    Too obscure?

It's been six days and still no word? I don't deserve it? I know you got my last two posts! I typed the addresses on them perfect!
Sorry, had to slip into Eminem for a minute there, in the spirit of this thread.

Was this too obscure? It's a song my dad mocks me for even having heard. I guess I'll retire this one.

It was Gordon Lightfoot's If You Could Read My Mind.

I hope you're all still out there. Try this on for size:

    "Joan was quizzical
    Studied metaphysical
    Science in the home
Late nights all alone with a test tube, oh, oh, oh-oh
    Maxwell Edison
    Majoring in medicine
    Calls her on the phone
Can I take you out to the pictures, Jo-o-o-oan
But as she's getting ready to go,
A knock comes on the door ..."

Can't give any more because it says the title, very obviously.

i think itll be better i f we use audio clips instead of the lirycs, itll be more interesting and appealing, yet more difficult cause with the lirycs you can google them to find out the song name:(

if you want to create a new thread with this, go ahead.

for the clipping theres a really good program named GoldWave, Nero also has a music aplication.

If you use audio clips, then it's kind of obvious. I mean, that song I posted, if anyone heard it, they'd instantly know it, and that just wouldn't be any fun, would it? Also, you could just hear the lyrics and then google them that way. Anyway, do whatever you want. No one seems to be reading this anyway.

Okay, if you get this, you either really know me or the group who sings it. You deserve a cookie (of course, I don't have an Odin cookie, so it's not that good... :sigh: )

Und dann hat er sie gekuesst
Wo das Meer zu Ende ist
    Ihre Lippen schwarr und blas
    Und seine Augen werden nass
