Hoo yeah...Magic, the passtime for losers!

    I play!

My fave combo: Flying-type + Inviobility + Entangler

Creates a nearly invincible creature that can block anything.

    Fwee...been playing since Beta...

I'm sort of a veteran player, I was playing since around fourth edition came out, but quit around the time of Weatherlight, because I was getting kinda pissed at all these new sets. I recently started playing again, but don't really do it that often, because I dislike all the sets and crap they have out. My favorite combo was and still is one that is no longer allowed; Initiates of the Ebon Hand + Channel + Drain Life. As long as you have the same amount of life, or more, than your opponent, they're done for.

I got into M:tG seven or eight years ago, about eight months before they released Ice Age, if I remember correctly. Of course, there was a period of about four years in there where I didn't do much, so I'm missing a lot of cards from the various expansions between Ice Age and the current releases.

While I don't have as many cards as some people, I do have more than enough to make several excellent decks. Most of my cards are from the time period when color purity was actually a good thing, unlike now, when chromatic decks are a way of life.

I would have to say that one of my favorite card combinations is Thicket Basilisk + Lure + Regeneration.

(Legend Of The Five Rings is better)

I burnt all my cards in a ritual dance to release the evil spirits that had possesed me.

:glazed: ah...sweet old magic, i love this game. My favorite combo? this one happened in my favor because of low mana. i had 2 vine trellis(a 0/4 wall that can be tapped for a green mana)
and 1 forestfor mana, then in my hand was a canopy surge(a sorcery for 2 mana w/ a kicker of 2 mana to do 4 damage to all flying creatures and all players) and a vitalize(untap all creatures you control for 1 mana). i tapped both vine trellis' an my forest and then i played vitalize. then i re-tapped my trellis' so i had 4 mana and played canopy surge. my opponent had 4 flying creatures, 2 wind drakes(2/2) amd 2 something 1/1. hahahha then he played a card whose power/toughness is = to the number of permanants of chsen color opponents have and it was a 11/11 or something. oh well.

I played for all of a year, and only to try my damndest to beat my uncles. I always played with a discard deck, with a modicum amount of creatures and land to discard to make all my attacking creatures stronger. My uncles almost depended on quick attacking and the shadow ability...so I depended on trying to get quicker hits in with big, large creatures. But, I don't actually remember what these cards were called. I do remember that I *did* win a few times because my creatures were strong enough to deal more than half damage to them, while throwing down a few lightning bolts and fireballs.

One of the most exultant five minutes of my life. I think. My greatest goal in magic was just to make a successful sliver deck (thanks AAA), but I couldn't since...I don't know, I'm not good at shuffling or some crap.

I used to play this game every once in a while but I haven't had as much time for it lately, I always liked using White along with Serra Angels ;) My first encounter with it would probably be when my brother started playing and his cards are still downstairs... I should pick them up again.

If someone offers to trade you for the new Serra Angels, reject. The new art is simply awful. She's got a nose just as red as a drunk in the arctic.

Keep those old Serra Angels if you can.
