    no magic users club discussion yet!! I'll start.*^-^*
    i love this series. we'll start showing it at my club soon. i think...heh i thought i plays out really well and is a looser look at something. i had a thought and lost it. just now actually. grrr. what's everyone else think?*^-^*

    I love this series. It is one of the funniest I have ever seen. Takeo's dream sequences just kept getting better and better thruout the OVA and TV series. Ya thats about all I can think to write right now. Damn now I need to go and watch the OVA's again.

    Hmmmm...I cant actually say that I like this anime...or if I hate it. Ive seen it, and I dunno...I dont really like how they say their spells, and they dont have the greatest characters. Nanaka would have to be my favorite...But I do like everything eles about the series! Great plot :D

    I really like this anime too. I have 1-6 of the ovas, and 8-13 of the tv series. I do say I love the ovas more. better story-line. thought the tv series was lacking and the ending poor. but thats just me.


    - I was really surprised to find the same swirly shaped pasta thingies in my korea noodle cup.

    Mahou Tsukai Tai means, 'The Magic Users Club' essentially high school kids (junior high? can never tell the difference in anime) get together and form a magic club. things are a bit comedic since the president, (some long name me stupidly forgot at this very moment) has dreams about the girls, yet one of members that looks like a girl but really is a guy loves him and tries to do his best to get his attention. to make matters worse, another female member has a crush on the guy that loves the other guy.. lol.. would make things so much easier with names. The main girl is Sae, ne? she's really sute with short curly red hair. She has an awesome magic capability, but needs to practice to harness it.

    I guess the main gist of the ova, is that several years before, an alien cylindrical spaceship landed near Japan or the city in the anime. At the beginning you see fighter planes futily trying to destroy the invader, but they get blown up. In the present, its just a monument that they've grown to live with. sometimes the ship probes around and things disappear.

    A slight correction

    Good summary Seraphim. I just need to make a couple of corrections, gomenasai its just my nature.

    "Mahou Tsukai Tai" translates to "I want to use Magic" and the aliens invaded one year before the OVA began. Now the president of Kitanohashi high schools' Magic Club is Takeo Takakura. The vice president of the club is Ayanojou Aburatsubo, hes the femine gay guy, and he loves Takeo. The main female is Sae Sawanoguchi. She likes Takeo too, she is also a major clutz. Sae's best friend is Nanaka Nakatomi. She loves Aburatsubo, its the main reason she joined the club with Sae. The last member is a Akane Aikawa, she's a freshman and the youngest in the club, she tends to use magic for fun, even when shes not supposed to. Takeo's rival in the show, and rival of the Magic club as well is Mizuha Miyama and shes the head of the Manga Club of the school.

    Well I think thats should be good. Sorry for the long read. *Damn, I should probably seek some help*

    Oi, I saw a bit of this a while back, and I remember I thought it was hilarious. I can't recall what I saw, be it OVA or TV. Perhaps you can help, Seraphim. I'm told it was from your collection, after all. If not, That guy! should know. He brought it over.

    ya GNZ, he seems to like to disturb my pile.. of anime that is.. :p it would probably be the ova. I know I made him watch it. they didnt really get into past the fist episode, at least Dave didn't until later. I think Rob, after a time, kept on watching it..
    so it was the OVAS think theres 6 episodes. I got this off of a friend. I was mad cuz the vcr I played it on kept on letting the audio go.
    I have episodes 8-13 of the tv series now, but I think that was a later acquirement. you may not have seen any of that. I don't think my bros have...

    Yeah, with the fading audio, that sounds about right (no pun intended). I guess that's the beauty of subtitles ... even when the sound fades, you can still more or less get what's going on.

    hm...overall i think this anime is ok. its not really my style, so i'm a bit biased. Alot of my friends like it, buts its just.....too cutesy for me. I think the only reason i'd keep watching is Aburatsubo...;D

    The OVA's were so hillarious, I prefer the OVA to the series, although I've only seen a few episodes of the Series(I shouldn't be judging then :(). But I recommend it to any one, and I'll try not to mess with your pile Seraphim :( I really can't stand the ending theme to the OVA though...

    I don't remeber the OVA ending. I watched episodes 8-13 of the tv show. lol.
