Eirtaku Man is this great...

Violinist of Hamelin has to be one of the most kickass anime I've seen in recent times. Sure, it's slightly dated (1997), the animation is not really great as it's not a high-budget production, but frankly, the character designs and development, and the amazing (if a bit cliched) storyline make it worth a watch.

Think Escaflowne - high budget animation + Slayers-styled characters - humor = Hamelin.

Only downside of this show is that it's rare as poo. I can copy it for trading though as I got it off a friend subbed
