Ok, for those of you who have seen Stars and know what i'm talking about, here is my question: Which ending did you like Better? Stars, The Manga, or Stars, The Anime. Since the endings were so different it is hard for me to decide. They were both good in my opinion. I think Cloverway would have a heck of time trying to figure out how to present the last episode on Cartoon Network LOL! I wish that they had kept the Galaxy Cauldron and actualy given Sailor Cosmos more than 45 seconds of screen time. But, the final battle between Galaxia and Sailor Moon was pretty cool!

The only thing I couldn't figure out is why the Galaxias supposed theme music "Golden Queen" was never used in the anime. This was a bitter dissapointment to me because I love that song so much. oh well, Any opinions?

I've never seen the anime Sailor Stars, but I've read the summary of it. I like the manga ending a whole lot better. Sailor Moon actually FIGHTS Galaxia in the manga. In the anime, she was such a weepy pacifist (no offense but to me they get on my nerves). She felt sorry the person who killed her friends and lover. I would have killed her on the spot. I hated the way the makers of the anime exploited Usagi. It had to be hard for Naoko Takeuchi when they twisted her beloved character around just so that she could be more appealing to THEM. Sailor Moon kicks butt in the manga!

OMG!!!! How can this even be a thread?
Manga is way better. It's more deep and it just freakin rules!!!!
It makes more sense the anime. I suggest you go the manga first before you see the anime ending!!!!! I promise you wont be disapointed

The manga ending was better. It was deeper, made more sense, and had more closure. But both were good.

Well, I like both endings. I read the Manga before I saw the anime and I do not regret that. Sailor Cosmos rules!:p

    ARE YOU INSANE!?!?!?!

Look, watch the anime first! Why? because Naoko did pretty much zero character develpoment to the other characters besides Usagi, Chibi Usa, Mamoru, and Minako (she did SOME character develpoment on Haruka and Ami and a bit on Michiru but basically NONE on Mako-chan, Rei, Setsuna and Hotaru.) ya know, I can't explain this good enough so I'll use the explanation ym friend gave on this matter.

And Naoko is a crappy artist ('cept the water color works, those were pretty) I mean when you compare her to people like Kosuke Fujishima and others....

    let me say something.....
in Naoko's earlier drawings.. like the first books... yes.. they weren't that great. But as you see later like in Super S and Stars... she has improved so much and the stories are deeper, more emotional, and just artistically great. Also, I do agree that naoko is not all that great but she has a great imagination. The anime is good drawings yet the episodes seems to be repeatitive until something really big happens.
Oh, about that character development thing... have you ever noticed that the manga is named after Sailor Moon? of course they are going to get more into her character. Alot more should have been done like explaining the soldiers life on earth and how they became the way that they were.
I'm sorry to say though.... out of all the stories I have read, Sailor Moon as one of the deepest plots. My personal opinion and yes.. I do watch and read others animes and mangas but SM is really good. (at least Super S and Stars)

Yes it is named after Sailor Moon but she created other chracaters too, all we find out about Mako-chan int he manga is that she cooks, and she's afraid of airplanes. Not much else is learnt. As for Rei, all we learn is that she lvies in a temple. She has no big temper in the manga. Sestuna's personality is never dealt into to, neither is Hotaru. As for Ami, it's the fact she's very japanese, and Haruka is considered cool. And Michiru, she's the onyl one with a bad temper. *as we see in that unforgetable stars scene where she breaks her lipstick in half kekekeke* But she was probably advised to dig itno their personalites, which is why she made those little 'specials' (I guess that's what they're called) i.e. Ami First Love and Mako-chan's Melancholy. She also didn't ahve to worry about Minako, for her personality had already been made from Code Named Sailor V.

Sailor moon was also never supposed to run as long as it should've. Naoko intended to end it when the first season ended. The anime started only a month after the manga had begun (after the firts issue, wow  ) the anime was so ahead of her that they amde the Ail adn Ann saga so she could catch up. Not only that but in Japan, the anime was much more popular than the manga was.
Honestly, I think Naoko was getting veyr tired because people kept on urging her to continue the series for more money (I think Toei would've continued the series without Naoko, but they didn't wnat another Dragon Ball GT) Yeah sure, the Stars manga was great, so was SuperS, but ya hafta understand, Cosmos is NOT a raw verison of Sailor Moon. ChibiChibi is Sailor moon herself from a alternate unvierse. In order to beat Chaos, Moon had to fuse with ChibiChibi so she could become powerful enough and be Cosmos. There fore, Cosmos is just an alternate Sailro Moon. No Japanese children could understand her (heck not many Japanese adults could either) which was why Toei changed the ending, far too confusing to japanese audiences.
I actually thought Akira Toriyama was getting tired of doing DBZ as well cause the Majin Buu saga was CRAPPY. I mean compared to the other great plotlines he had made. ...

I don't liek EITHER endings to Sailor Moon. The manbga was mcuh to confusing to many people and the anime was a poor alternate ending to the manga. if they could've just changed it a bit around so Cosmos could've been in the anime...

    maybe spoliers!!

actually you also find out that her parents died in a plane accident.
You learn she lives with her grandfather because her mother died and her father is a politician. She gets a casablanca and a white dress every year from her father but it's really his right hand man who does mostly everything.
and also... cosmos was in the anime... she was the shadow where SM was given her life back. This is always a constant arguement with many people. I still like the manga better.

  12. I loved the manga ending...Why? Because it actually told us what happened to Mamo and Usa, but in the anime they just ended it by Mamo and Usa makeing out on a bridge. I mean come on add on a bit more!!!
    P.S
I'm just going to let you know that I heard a roomer that Naoko the creator of Sailor Moon might be making the next series to it! And there is going to be a new video game on SM coming out soon! It's called "The Gemini Project"! I am so going to get it!

The manga ending is SOOO much better! I mean it's very sad at first then the endind is perfect, and the way it's drawn too... the anime didn't quite catch it. (Although I did NOT see the anime ending moving, only in pictures, thousands and thousands of pictures....) It was very different from the original versioN!!!

    ???

I liked the manga one better. It was more...well...it answered a bunch of questions, like will they ever get married...and junk like that. Plush, it was more romantic and fulfilling.
