Microsoft to buy Vivendi games division.

 

Half Life 2, exlusive for the Xbox! Warcraft 4, only on Xbox!

If they do end up buying Vivendi's games section, it would make me about as happy as when MS bought Bungie (*&$#(*&(&*

 

This isnt very surprising.The only systems that can outdo an X-Box in terms of system specs,are PCs,what better way to beat out the PC by taking all of the games that were meant for the PC and putting them on X-Box.I dont think this will pass,it will screw up the entire PC gaming market,something the PC market wont let happen.

 

How much more money does Bill Gates have to pull out of his @$$ before he monopolizes the game industry? Good Lowd!

 

He can pay all the money he wants,this isnt going to happen.He'll have every PC company trying to stop him.The PC market is mainly all about games,better computers are made to play more advanced games,they just cant tell the game producers where their games should be.

 

And we all know how succesful people have been in the past at stopping Bill Gates. If he starts buying all the game companies.. I guess we'll be stucj with open source games heh.

 

I was on the OFFICIAL blizzard forum a while ago. I think somebody confirmed that Microsoft has abondoned this buying prospect at the moment. And I think it's a bit early to talk about Warcraft IV. We are still waiting for bloody TFT, WOWC and SCG from Blizzard!!

 

uhm yeah. It's also a bit early to be talking about Half Life 2. I did anything but claim I know something about warcraft 4 coming out. That was just a hypothetical result of what could happen, should MS truly acquire those companies. ffs Why does everyone have to take me so seriously and be so ready to try to shoot me down..

now to the fun stuff. Warcraft 4 really is coming, they are shooting for a 1st quarter 2004 release! I just know this somehow, or feel it in my bones rather

 

Not really. The users wouldn't be too happy unless some extra tweaks happened for the PC versions. You can do just so much more on a pc than you can a console. Even in simple terms of controls...

If they do buy out Nintendo and Playstation, I just hope that they have enough wits to let them have full jurisdiction on which and how their games will be made. I just can't see childhood heroes like Mario or Link being made into gore *****s by some moronic empire that just got lucky a couple of decades ago.

M$ only thinks of getting everything to their ****ing x-box! What happens to the market if everyone buys the xbox? It's the only left to be sold and the price will rise high like the sky!

Although, it *would* boost their loss on the console as it is now.

 

oh now that's just silly...
if i were like that, i'd gotten an x-box already. But i don't care for gfx (even though the x-box might not even have better gfx), i go for the games. I'm more into the fantasy-type of thing...so no fps (mostly).

Heh...yet...it's good the gamecube is still out. I wouldn't like if it dissappeared...nor the ps2.
