this is my first misc thread I think. just wanted to say how migraines are horrible. been suffering from them since a baby. I've been getting them a lot lately, and even my vision blurred and I threw up last week. this morning I seem to have self-induced one from worrying or something. thinking about quitting the job I just started because of it, and that the owner is a jerk.

well, do any of you suffer from migraines or anything else? I have allergies and asthma too.

    quit squeezing my brain already.....:(

Dear Seraphim: I suffer (occasionally) from migraines too. Have you researched about it? I've found the ice on the head quite effective. But I also found out that there are some medications that prevent migraines from hitting you - when you start seeing those flashy lights you take them.

I've seen that migraines are also caused by lack of exercise. Also by poor eating habits.

I remember i had migraines every month or so when I was going to school and didn't eat properly (lots of walking, no food, no water). Some sodas and foods can also trigger the migraine. I don't eat chocolates as much as I used to. I also exercise myself often (weights / dumbbells), and a good condition helps too.

Mail me if you need any other advise. rick_g22 (at) yahoo {dot} com

stress, extreme stress, can cause them also. my younger brother was on migraine meds for almost a month...he still has to be careful, but doesn't get them too often now.

You know I never had migraines before what does it feel like?

Maybe its because I tend to slam my head into a brick walls alot, or maybe because I crush can with my head, or head butt kids once in a while.

Lots of water before going to bed? Um i don't think so.

Why not taking a bottle of water to your job, and give it a sip every once in a while? That's much more effective to keep you hydrated.

    Also - suggestions on stress.

Maybe this isn't my business... but have you tried to throw off your stress by crying? For me it's super ^_^ I feel much better then.

But I still wonder... are you sure it's not something you eat? I have this aunt that eats LOTS of chocolate and has migraines - but is too stubborn to leave chocolate out. Have you felt like about having a migraine when you're eating something in particular?

    eeto......

We are talking about full proper
    *see flashing lights/visual hallucinations
    *nauseous as hell
    *totally incapacitating agony
*dont really do much but lie on the coach softly moaning MIGRAINES not bad headaches right?

I'm not trying to be rude, it just seems like an AWFUL lot of people get migraines.

Again, not trying to be rude, but how does crying make it better?
Just wondering, not trying to stir s*** again.

    Ohoho.

lol.. I mean we had all these otehr misc. threads.. why not a headache one?

I do bring water to work, and try to drink when I can. I think a main reason why I've been sick is that my boss is a cheapskate. I get these stupid shifts that fall in either breakfast and lunch, or lunch and dinner, and by the time I'm done work, I'm starving. he doesn't like giving breaks.

well whatever. pummelling people into pulp helps the most though ;)

umm people? I umm meant oranges..yahh...:p
