Sailor Moon Minako and Rei

I'm not trying to be a perv here, this is an honest question.

I was reading some stuff on the internet that talked about Minako and Rei having a romantic relationship.

Does this have any grounding in the series?

I know Rei "hates" boys but I never saw any connection between the two of them of that nature, but I haven't seen a ton of the later seasons.

Please clairify this...

 

This is news to me. I never heard of such a thing. I do know that Rei does love someone (in the manga story Casablanca memories), but I wouldn't trust everything off the internet. Hell, I read that Uranus was some prince in another lifetime, thats why she is the way she is (still my favorite scout tho). But anyways, I never saw anything like that between them in any of the seasons (I have them all); besides, Minako is the guy crazy one.

 

Yes indeed, and lets not forget that one episode in the fourth season when she got (raises eyebrow) two at once.

 

I doubt it. It's probably just a fan fic or something.
In my opinion, Rei doesn't hate boys. She's merely a strong, independant girl who has high expectation when it comes to guys.

What why do all of you think rei hates guys? I mean she did have a crush on mamoru. Then in the later episodes her and chad had a thing for each other when she stopped him from leaving. Then she always drooled over the Starlights? I mean she went to Usagi school all the time just to get a chance to look at them.

Which leads me to another question... Why? Why did they make her in love with Mamoru?

She never admitted she was in love with Yuuichirou.

 

Let me clear this up.

Remember in the Stars Manga, in the one where those two die? Remember when they encounter the Starlights and they say, 'We don't need any men, you have a problem with that?'
This cause alot of confusion, so it is basically a misinterputation of the manga, they meant something else, but the picture and what they said kinda suggests it. But it's just a misinterputation.

 

Fushigi Rockna, i agree with you. that's the onlymoment that comes to mind when i think about venus and rei together. plus, all the sailors have a close relationship and Stars brought that onto closer perspective. but i think the only safe thing to agree on is uranus and neptune are the only girls that end up togther.

 

Exactly, it's just someone reading that scene and thinking something different. Plus that picture does suggest some lezbian activity, I was FREAKED when I saw that pic.
As for Ami and Makoto, THAT comes form the SuperS episode where Makoto had no one to dance with and Ami asked her if she wanted to dance with her.

 

I know, but it makes one wonder what Naoko menat, there was ALOT of shading in that picture and Rei wasn't even looking forward. Minako looked clam... for once, and Rei was looking to the side, her fingers touching her lips. It was weird. O_O
It's just a big misunderstanding. They even clarify it at The Sailor Senshi Page, with their most stupidest Sailor Moon Rumors.

 

Well lemme explain the whole scne (they died soon after, so sad... ;_

They're up on the roof waiting for the starlights. Rei shows that she pulled the death card this morning, indicating they'll die today, and then Minako tells her not to say things like that and it goes on like this...

Minako: We can get through this! And then we'll all finally get BOYFRIENDS! Life's all abotu boys, gotta have them and lots of romantic dates! I'm gonna find myself a HOT starlights lookalike! I wanna do the whole high school girlie thingy!
The starlights show up.
Yaten: yeah right. You're already devoted to your one and only.
Minako (this makes me cry every time): Opps... you caught me...
Rei: minako?
Minako: Yes I am devoted to my one and only, my light...
*pictures of Serenity appears briefly blah blah bal*
Rei: Actually we don't need any men, got a problem with that?
Yaten: No, I expected no better rom Sailor Senshi.
Seiy: See we are devoted to our one and only as well...

And the next doesn't matter but that scene makes me cry! They're so devoted! ;_;

I actually don't understand how anyone could think they're lezbians form that scene, but people have.

 

Yeah Rei hates men in the manga because of her father. She's not boy crazy like her anime counterpart and has no interest in Mamoru romantically.


She and Minako are close like Usagi and Rei i n the anime. They are not lesbians though. In Stars when they told Yaten they didn't need any men because they wouldn't have time for them with a special someone to protect they were talking about Usagi, not each other in a romantic way. You see a small picture of Usagi after they said this

 

I think they fit together perfectly. Of course they're my favoirte charicters.

 

Hey. Like I said before. People can only dream, when I know that they would be perfect for each other because of they're issues. Plus they only sell Hentai in Japan. I know because for secret information. So if you want to challange me again try. I have more infromation on this subject.

 

How do you know certain girls would be perfect for each other just because of the way they act? In elementry and middle school, I used to see girls hugging each other all the time, that does not in any way mean they are a couple or even that they necessarly like each other. I guess it was just their way of showing affectiong. Of course, if you look at it out of context, then you'd think that there is something going on between them.

Just to clear myself up on this, are there any anime/manga authors who offically appove of hentai about their creation? I have a feeling that most of these problems come from renegade artists who make up their own unofficial storyline. Is this the case with Sailor Moon? If it is, then all of this "lesbian" business (except for Haruka and Michiru) is all a bunch of tripe.

 

THEY DO NOT ONLY SELL HENTAI IN JAPAN!!!! GET THOSE STEROTYPE IDEAS OUT OF YOUR HEAD! They sell hentai and porn games at Akihabara, which is a district of Tokyo, mecca to all things otaku. You have never been to Japan, nor have you obviously learnt anything about Japan. So don't go saying all they only sell is hentai, cause you know NOTHING!

 

Yess, quite frankly I do wanna challenge you again, baka! I didn't say you COULDN'T dream!!! I just said that it wasn't some 'idea' implanted by the creators to sell it. And they do sell hentai worldwide, including on tonnes of websites. Just type it in google and you'll see. You know, hentai isn't a secret, so I don't know what the hell you mean by 'secret information'.
