Who is Misato, apparently theres a character called Misato in ecxel saga, but I cannot seem to find a picture of her anywere. If anyone can direct me to a page with a pic of her on it that would be great, sorry to create a new thread for it. Thanks everyone

I think you're mistaken. The voice actress for Excel also does the voice of Misato in Neon Genesis Evangelion.

    American, Allison Keith.

And an awesome voice actress, indeed.

In the Japanese, yes, that is correct(as well as Sailor Moon). In the dub, the following is correct:

Allison Keith did the voice of Misato in Eva, but she did not do the voice of Excel, either of them.

Excel was voiced first by Jessica Calvello, who had to bow out because the role was destroying her vocal cords.

She was replaced after by Larissa Walcott. Allison Keith only had a bit role as the Vice-Mayor's mistress in Excel Saga. :)

I don't have the dvds yet, but I wonder, is it very noticeable that the voice actress changed?

I wouldn't know. I only watch anime in Japanese with English subtitles. However, I did switch to english at few odd moments to see what it would sound like, and I never noticed much difference. Maybe I just didn't hear it enough though. I can understand how voicing Excel can wreck your vocal cords, though.

In my opinion, Mitsuishi Kotono does a better job voicing Excel than either Jessica Calvallo or Larissa Walcott.
