CLAMP Works MKR: What do you think of it?

    Ack! There isn't a Rayearth thread yet!
    Okay....
    Iv'e seen the OAV, and read the 1st Manga and it's allready one of my favourite series ^_^,
    I have the 2nd manga, but I promised not to read it untill the weekend x_x days go by soooo sllooowwwwlllyyyyyy......
    What do you think of Rayearth?

    Well, I don't have anything particular about "girly" anime (no offense to the ladies, I assure you) but Rayearth got annoying. Like I said before to my friends, it was like Sailor Moon (the English cavity causer) taken to the nth power. I suppose that the second season would be better (as everyone keeps saying so) but I couldn't stand to finish the first...yet. I probably will finish it though, knowing that I don't like to leave loose threads hanging. In any case, the part I liked about it is that it played like an RPG, getting stronger as they go along.

    I have the first three books of the manga. I love it to death, Hikaru is the cutest little thing ever, but it seemed rushed. Espeically book 3, things just happened so fast. Clamp seems to have issues with pacing sometimes, think Clover, but all in all its great stuff!

    I use to love this anime, but eventually I got tired of it. The only episodes I watch was when Emeraude is still alive, after that I got bored, no offense, I'm not saying that everything 'bout RayEarth is boring...it's just that Emeraude is my fave and when she died...it got different...:bleed:

    I was a big fan of Magic Knight Rayearth back then. I have seen the whole first series of MKR and the 3 ovas and I really liked the anime. Then I saw MKR-2!!! I was really disappointed!

    Zagato and Ascot the teenager are my two favorite characters.

    Okay, I've read 1-3 of the manga now and I loved it!
    Yes, the third book was very rushed, but still I thought it was better than have it streached out for volumes and volumes....

    I thought Umi was the best charachter, Celes is so cool too:p

    Why though, in the manga Hikaru's lion spirit is called Rayearth, but in the OAV it's called Lexis?

    I can't believe Emeraude had to be killed! Call me stupid if you like but I was completely surprised by the ending!!!!
