LET THEM EAT CAKE!!!

Tee hee-sa. I love cake! and i bet you love it too- even if you end up eating half of the batter and then end up baking the rest and having a one inch high cake and have to explain it to your parents, but anyways, mm me off topic, mm, oh yeah cake!

What is your favorite cake? and if you can throw in a pic or a recipe, cuz then i can have delicious dreams about stuffing it into my mouth. yumm.

Actually... I'm not really all that big on cake... dunno what the whole fascination with it is... personally, yeah, it's strange being the only one not eating a cake at a birthday party, especially when it's your birthday. ;P

So... yeah...

 

Actually I've never really developed a fondness for cake, unless it's ice cream cake in which case I'll gobble the stuff up in record time. But yeah, usually whenever I get cake I only eat it for the icing and whatever filling happens to be in the middle and just tolerate the rest. But if it's carrot cake then I'll just politely decline or throw the stuff down the disposal. Either way...

 

I'm also not a massive fan of cake's but thats not to say i don't like some of them.
I ususally eat the sponge cakes with the frosting all over them (birthday cake if you will), but my favorite cake above anything else is Toffee Cake, now thats the stuff.

And you can't beat a good Chocolate Mud Cake.

 

Cakes eh? well, i remember not eating any cake for years and then i got a job at a cake place and...i liked cake again. at the present time though, i cannot stand cake. I'm literally sick of cake, ugh. heh, but cake is good to use as a bribe for things. hmm, but i would have to say that my last fave cake would have to be Orange Pineapple. It was different but good.

I've never liked cake at all for some reason and I aviod eating it for the most part. Well, that is until I went to The Bistro and tried their double double chocolate cake, it's the nicest cake I have ever tasted *drools* ~ , the name's misleading, it's actually really light...soooo yummy...... :sweat2:

 

*Shakes fist* I can't eat cake anymore. Well I can, but I choose not to since I believe I have some cavities, but the dentist says that I don't have any, yet I go to try and eat some, and my teeth goes to hurt like hell..... so I just said forget it, and stopped eating sweets altogether. (man, I miss the sweets so much)

But my favorite cake was Chocolate. Just a straight up Chocolate cake. I think that's what did it to my teeth "shrugs"

How could I pass up a chance to advertise my specialty: Triple Chocolate Cake! Fresh out of the oven with icing sugar, and it's triple chocolaty goodness. I bet you're all wanting to try it now eh?

Here you go.

Triple Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

1/2 cups/1 stick Butter or margarine
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 tablespoons blackstrap molasses
2/3 cup chocolate milk
1/3 cup cocoa
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup / 6oz. Semi-sweet chocolate chips
Powdered sugar

1. Preheat oven to 350º.
2. Grease and flour 13" x 9" pan.
3. In a large bowl, cream butter or margarine until fluffy. Add brown sugar and white sugar and mix thoroughly. Add eggs, vanilla, and blackstrap molasses, beating well after each addition.
4. In a separate container, stir flour, cocoa, salt, and baking soda together. Beat into butter mixture, alternating with the chocolate milk. Beat for 1-2 minutes, then fold in chocolate chips.
5. Pour batter into greased and floured 13" x 9" pan. Bake 35-40 minutes. Cake should be sort of flat and solid, not light and puffy. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Let cool before cutting or the pieces will fall apart and the gooey chocolate chips will get all over everything.

As a side note, I've made this cake many times, I have experimented with several kinds of topping, and I have determined simple powdered sugar to be the best for it. This is, of course, a matter of opinion, but I thought I'd let you know what others think of it.

Also, I did not come up with this recipe. I stole it from a novel called "The Book of Enchantments." I hope you enjoy the cake.

I love most sweets.. and cake is yummy yummy! this isnt cake.. but its realated.. my frined.. she puts cake in a bowl and then pours in milk.. when I first saw her do it. i thought it was grosse looking.. but it really tasted good... I guess tahts why I have a love for Trese leches (sp??) that stuff is amazingly good..

 

don't really like cake... too sweet... but ice cream cake's good!
