    Most anime series today don't have any women with normal um... 'talents' as they say in Sailor Moon. And that's another problem.

    Most anime series today are dubbed poorly into English.

    Most animated series these days on TV aren't as good as they used to be, and most of the best are inaccesable to me.

    I think it's a bit unrealistic the ecciness in anime, and also sort of unreal because not all girls are like that... I'd be scared if they were anyways ^^ They don't have to be anyways and because they make them so perfect just gives guys ideals into what to look for in women... looks, but looks don't matter, the heart and personality does. methinks that the artist just wanted to attract a more male audience or something, don't get me wrong though... it's the storyline and awesome plot and humour in anime that got me interested in anime.
    You have to admit that the ecciness factor in Japan is a lot lower than that of North America though... hehe, the comedy in Excel Saga is better than American Pie *gets ready for a pie in the face*

    Most anime series that make it in America are violent, plotless and idiotic.

    Most anime series today are too expensive for me to buy new.

    most series these days have females fighting over the main male character (ex: Rurouni Kenshin, Sorcerrer Hunters, Tenchi Muyo):dizzy2: -- thats plain stupid

    the point of female characters fighting over one male character is because the creators of the anime are guys who are tired of fighting over girls... So they Dream of the days where girls will fight over them!..

    Thats my theory!

    Here's one I may get flamed for ...

    Most animated series these days suck. Flat out suck. Television in general is in a downward spiral. All I see anywhere these days is cheap knock-offs of other shows, or boring spin-offs of movies. For an example of such shows, watch pretty well anything on Fox or YTV on a Saturday morning.

    And again ...

    Most animated series these days lack an interesting plot. As the Barenaked Ladies said, it's all been done. It's getting to the point where all animation is going the way of old Warner Brothers creations, just stealing everything from old-school comedy/action/drama/whatever. Everywhere I look, it's "train this" (Digimon, Pokémon, Medabots), "capture that" (Pokémon, Card Captors) ... can anybody think of a good story line? Of course, that's just a look into the [PURAZUMA!] that we have shoved down our throats on conventional tv, but it's out there in everything.

    Most anime series these days are interesting. Now whether that's good or bad, is up to you. I think there are a lot of plots that *have* been used, but sometimes they either make it great by viewing it differently or with a *new* plot. And about chasing males, it's like that because most anime artists are love-starved, ramen-eating cartoonists. Sorry if I offended anyone, I'm love-starved and ramen-eating myself. And there's the Fushigi series, and Weiss Kruz...and those are pretty...bishonen, don't you think? And about ecchi anime, they're funny. I mean, ever watched Golden Boy? They guy's hilarious (I admit to that show being one of those girls chase boy ones though) because he's a bungling genius. Well yeah...

    Most anime series these days are not accessible in the States and are fansubbed to be distributed over Morpheus/Kazaa/WinMX. How about that one?

    Have to agree with GNZ. TV does seem to be sucking more and more, but it's not just animation. Just look at the new episodes of the simpsons(if you'd seen the afrika episode, you'd know what I mean. *shudders).

    most animated series today are just out to lower your intelligence by making the show as simplistic as possible.

    most animated series today have annoyingly violent girls. naru in love hina is my example. keitaro just has to be in the room for her to blame it on him.

    most animated series today impress the "barbie syndrome" on all kids. remember, it's how you look not your personallity. yeah right.

    most animated series on tv have horrible voice actors/acting in them. with exceptions.(bebop, tenchis' ok)

    Alright, I'm convinced

    Okay, let me correct my previous statement. It isn't just animation in general that sucks. It's more of the mainstream stuff. Most of the fansubs are good.
