Out of all the mass produced mobile suits from the One Year War,which do you think is most versatile?

P.S.Seeing as how the prototype version of the RX-78 Gundam from Project V was never mass produced,I won't include it in the poll.So don't whine.;)

As a standard none special Mobile Suit I would say the Gelgoog because it has a strong beam weapon (good at all ranges) it has the double saber thing it kicks. the only problem is that it came way too late in the war

True.If Amuro had to face 2 Gelgoogs instead of 2 Zakus when he first piloted the Gundam in Side 7,he would have been toast. :dizzy2:

I chose the Ground Combat Gundam because it has a little of everything(sort of like the Gelgoog). It has a beam saber and shield for close combat,a nice assortment of guns and bazookas for long-range combat, the ability to have a cargo unit fastened to it's back,a nice amount of tough armor, and it's cheap to make.

You both have good points. However, I see versatility, in the case of mobile suits, as having the ability to operate efficiently in both space and ground combat. The mass-produced Gundam can't boast that kind of versatility, since it was only designed for Earth-based combat. The Zaku II might be the kind of mobile suit that fits your catagory. The only problem is, it can't travel from space to Earth and back under its own power (it has to be transported in a spaceship). If this were Gundam Wing, then it would be Wing Zero, but this is Universal Century, so I'm going with the Zaku II. I know that I chose the GM in the poll, but I did that because there's so many different versions of it, so there's virtually one for any application. I hope that my input is of some help and interest. Thanks.

i voted Other because i think the most versatile Gundam is the Strike Gundam from Gundam Seed because it has the Phase Shift system and the Mission Packs...hands down Strike Gundam could whip any other gundam!

That is so true! Thank you Death Angel!! Even though we're not dealing with Alternate Universes, eh, what the hell! You're totally right, the Strike Gundam is the most versatile of all Gundams. Its Strike Packs definitely give it an advantage in virtually any battle. I might even dare say that the Wing Gundam Zero might not stand much of a chance with the Strike Gundam. Now, if only Sunrise would make a series in which the mobile suits from most or all of the Gundam series (and the greatest pilots) do combat with one another. Think G Gundam, but much less annoying. It's nice to test this theory in video games, like Gundam: Encounters in Space (PS2), but I'd like to see what outcome the actual creators would give them. Oh well...I guess we can always dream....But again, good point Death Angel.

it would be xakuII since it can go in space and on earth, or does saku count? that could renter by it's self since 1 automatically = hundrads 1 would servie if they tryed.

about seed and how stufff can just reenter wihtout any thing, so wat any 1 could make a show that stupid it's that hard. wat is hard is balanceing out everythings abilites so threads like this aren't just every1 saying the same thing.
    [edit]it should be z'gok
