    I know there's a whole lot of these in English-language animation, and in live theatre from all around the world, but could somebody tell me if there are any anime musicals out there?
    I just saw Fiddler On The Roof at school and I'm looking for a way to combine my newfound love of musical theatre with my old-school love of anime.

    [​IMG] I could just see an Excel musical now [​IMG]

    I could see musicals to drama anime's such as Rurouni Kenshin : Tsuiko Hen. Or even Grave of the Fireflies... Although a lot of anime it'd be extremely difficult and expensive to have all the pyrotechnics and special effects.

    For example, a Dragonball Z musical would be painful for the audience...especially when Vegeta blows them up [​IMG]

    The only anime musicals I know of are a few Sailor Moon musicals and the Shoujo Kakumei Utena musical - in which everyone is played by women!!

    ~ Lady Aoi: now how about the Saber Marionette J Musical...

    Oh! I just got a cd from a friend of mine with the songs from Seramyu, one of the Sailor Moon musicals. It's really good!!

    BMS : La Soldier comes from Seramyu
