Art My Anime tarot deck

Hey, I have started workin on an anime tarot card deck and i am starting with the Minor Arcada so... heres what i have soo far...

Hey, they look real good, like really professinal, i cant wait to see the whole deck, u might even make a bit of money from them u could always make a whole load and open ur own online shop or something

I would have to first get the materials to sell them... lol

But i wouldnt even think about printing and selling them. Ever read that proprieter warning at the start of any film? well, in short - it applies to images as well.

And im sure X and all its images are copyrighted to CLAMP.

Bah well, you could always ask real real nice. Bake them cookies and all will be fine imo

 

Hey, i finished the swords section of minor...

 

hmmmmmm i would sooo buy them if i had the rules for big time tarot cards like that

any way i sooooooooooooo WANT THOSE CARDS IF JUST TO LOOK AT THEM and not use them *pouts* i soo need some money
any way keep at it i wanna see the hole deck ^^

 

I know exactly what you mean. And, i just really am going to treat the minor Arcada like trading cards because i do not know what each one means. But, when i finish minor... i am gunno work on major and they will have pica acording to their meanings.

I thought the devil ment having many worldy possesions but not being sure of many things...

At least thats what i herd. And that is why Yuuto Kigai is on the CLAMP deck for the devil.

 

hmm depends on the tarot deck, there are alot of different cards and many ways to read them
i have a deck on my own but this are like kiddy cards compared to the true cards
i use them every now and them i've never been wrong but i wouldn't suggest tampering with fate just to prove a point i've had my cards for about 4 years and i still sometimes get confused on a reading.
short term memory ain't any good for tarot cards >.<

Nyah hah hah hah! It seems I have some serious competition to draw my deck as quickly as possible. I'm a bit surprised though. I thought you were going to do each suite with a different series like I was planning to. No matter. It still comes off quite well. Hope mine comes out that well. I've only got pencils for up to love right now and I still need to find a friend to scan them and borrow a copy of Photoshop or PSP to ink and color them. Damn I'd say it sucks not to be in school to scan my stuff but it sure does feel good not having to worry about testing.

 

They look okay, nothing really special. Like Bloodberry said, the images should have some relation to the card. Doesn't have to be symbolic to the meaning, but at least have the images match the name of the card (put sword pics in Swords, firebrands/wands or lit torches in Wands, etc.). So far it seems like you just made your cards out of random portraits with words pasted on. You don't need to use only images of characters. Some cards can be a pic of an item or scenery. Also, what you call Arcada is supposed to be spelled Arcana!

 

they all look really good...I like them all...in fact im going to honor you by putting them on my door in my dorm...

seraphinx , thx for the healthy critisizim... and your right... i am using images i find of X/1999 stuff for minor!!

But!! When i am done with Minor... i shall do great things with Major, dont you worry.

And sry for my spelling.

Also... i couldnt find enough pics for X/1999 that suited each cards needs so... i apologize, but dont you loose faith on me yet. I will do Major arcording to card meaning... and that i promise.

Just a note... but i did put in a pic of the Shiken (sword) on the King of Swords

 

Hey! Awesome tarot deck! One itty-bitty thing you should know about the oracle cards, though...


With tarot cards, in each card of the 4 suits << except for the 30 cards that do not belong to any suit, such as The Devil card, The Fool, or The World, ect...>> (wands, cups, swords, pentacles) the number is represented by the amount of the symbolic item. (What I mean is: six of pentacles would feature six pentagrams in the card with the illustration. You MUST feature these items, and you can't have written 'Six of Pentacles' on the card. You can only have the roman numeral that goes along with the number/amount. However, if you have the 30 cards that are not with the suit, like The Devil card, you have your picture, the title AND the roman numeral.)

Other than that wee little thing, those are some spiffy cards!

 

Alright... but the reason i am not doing this is because i am following what the X/1999 tarot cards did (kinda). So if they spelled out Six of Pentacles (which they did) i spelled it out.

 

Then why make a tarot deck if it's not gonna be original? Plus there's already X/1999 cards. I agree with Lady Shadow-san.

 

heee following X/1999 is up to u but if u do copy/follow the type of cards make them ur own style and there are different kinds of tarot cards including the ones from x/1999 i've seen cards like that. So good luck
