    ... thought the monty python "Gumby" quote goes along well with what happened to me today;

In work (About 6'ish) & doing a flights meal equiptment... now meh, i do that everyday, but recently we have had to count the cups because there going missing... somewhere *Shrugs* Anyways after the first break there was say... 700 cups & 587 half way through the other shift, but as i tried to simply add them together for we finished that flight... i couldnt frigging do it :dizzy2: My brain felt like it just shut off & my whole body was kinda acting sluggish, now sure my bodies went sleepily before due to lack of food/sugar, but it was my head that was concerning me... it was actually numb & i couldnt think:(

I think they call it a moment of "Stupor"

So, anyone else had this happen to them?

P.s my heads fine now & the answer is 1,287 :p

For the next time you have to count cups again:

put them in a square formation, don't even try to count them at the beginning.

Just put them like this while you're chatting with your friend, or listening to some music:

    *****
    *****
    *****
    *****

lines of 5, columns of 4, and jot down in a piece of paper the # of formations you've done.

    Every 5 formations, you've got 100 cups! ta-da!

My mind blanks all the time. Yesterday I called my friend Justin "Jamaal" and later called Jamaal "Justin" ...
I was also studying Spanish yesterday, but afterwards someone asked me how to say something simple, like spoon or something, and I couldn't remember. Still can't.
When I took computer science in high school, my head was in a continual state of pain. This was in part due to the high levels of stress working with one of my friends was putting me through. I also went into computer mode and started putting semicolons at the end of lines of essays ... Luckily I had good editors.
Last night, I was hanging around with a few of my friends in the lounge after a game of cards. My mind warped just because of the high amounts of stupidity in there. I haven't seen three sober people act that stupid in ages.

Novus; Oh god education induced madness is the worst... think this lil mishap of mine is due to a deep mental scar school left on me.

Yes, indeed it did. Allow me to define this term for those of you who are not yet aquainted with mental flatulence.
A "brain fart" is what occurs when for no apparent reason at all you just forget something, or say or do something really stupid and completely irrelevant that you thought was perfectly logical at the time, but immediately thereafter realized was not. For example, on the afforementioned quiz, I for some unknown reason ERASED MY RIGHT ANSWER to the last question because I thought it looked too simple, and on another question failed to figure a calculation because I forgot that one number was a constant and not a variable. This condition often occurs with things that have been practiced and excercised over and over and over again. Actors and math types are especially prone to this condition. Actors may forget the lines they have been practising for a month or so, and math people may just have a sudden slip of logic and forget a formula they have been using for years.
The brain fart is a serious problem, and there is no known cure for this debilitating condition. Together, with your help, some day we may stop brain farts.

Wasn't that informative? I bet your head hurts even more now.

Pretty much, when you went on about the calculas... it was another brain problem that set in... imagine a childs puzzle box where they have to put shapes into the coresponding holes... just then the square block tried fitting into the circle hole :p

But yeah, brain farts, gotcha now... so pretty much everytime i tried to make sense in the Angel eyes forum when i first went to it
