It's not going to happen for several months yet, but I'm planning things out and I want to know what all I'll need to keep in mind.

As my plans exist now I'll be flying down the last day of June, and staying about a week. I'd be landing in LA (Los Angeles, if you thought I meant Louisiana :p), and staying in Anaheim. This may change, however, as I have yet to talk to the travel agency. I might be able to stay longer or leave earlier, for example.

In any case, apart from having unknown connectivity during that time, I was wondering if anybody here lived around there that might want to meet up with me? :p

I want to get as much planning out of the way now so that I can book it without worries that I'll miss something.

Anahiem has Disney Land and California Adventure, so I imagine you're going to be spending a good deal of time down there. If you and your family is big into theme parks I would highly reccommend Knott's Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain. Six flags might be some drive however seeing as it's in the middle of no where. If you wanna drive for three hours there's also San Diego. They have Seaworld down there, as well as a few WWII ships you can walk all over.

    Yay.

As for touristy sh*t Southern California is loaded with ibberish. If you're going to be down there in the first week of July you can go Anime Expo, which is a large 4 day con where you can burn money like its kindling. I'll be down there for that. I suppose you're going to want to hit up an infamous Southern California Beach- Good luck with that. Winter time the beaches are rather lousy, however since you're a Canadian (eh) you might still enjoy yourself. It'll definately be above freezing.
