Well, I want to go to Otakon with my friends in Indiana but my mom won't let me. So pretty much I've talked about it with my friend and he's agreed to let me stay at his house for a bit before we all go to Otakon on a road trip. He lives in Indiana, and I live in Cali.

So I intend to tell my mom that I'm gonna spend the night at my friend's house and get on a plane to my friend's house(My friend at home will cover for me). Go to Otakon, and fly back, should only be 5 or so days. Sounds easy doesn't it?

However, I have somewhat mixed feelings about this. And since I don't hold morals too close to me, I'd go with this and never look back. But I would like to know if people think this is wrong, why, and try to convince me outta this is truly a bad idea and I should be stocked to death for even conceiving the idea.

I ask this now because I should have to start saving up money now, because if I don't I'll probably spent too much so that I wouldn't be able to go.

Please! I beg of your help!

it IS bad.... but.... i would do it, so... if you don't die or something worse... it is okay for me! :) although it's bad not to tell our parents where we're going. did you think what to do if your parents called your friend in indiana and he (backing you up!) would say you are always busy? it would be a bit wierd huh? and if something happens? what would you say to your parents??? :) anywayzzz have a nice trip! :D

Don't feel bad. I do stuff like that all the time. It's the only way I can have fun, let's just say I live a "sheltered life." It's not like you're doing anything wrong kid,
going to an anime con is far from immoral. So if you gotta break some rules to have some clean fun, don't worry about it.
However, taking note that you live in California... don't you realize how cons are in your state!? That's where Anime Expo is! That's probably bigger than Otakon.
But if you like it, then just go and don't look back. Good luck.

Err... Otakon is sort of over for this year though, of course.
