I've uploaded it to my webpage so everyone won't have to scroll through a ton of text. It's not finished yet, but getting there. Also, I didn't get the name of the system "Wired" from Lain or anything, it actually came to me from reading WIRED magazine. I couldn't think of a more creative name.

I'd appreciate some feedback and if anyone thinks of something I can add to this idea, feel free to tell me.

Before I comment on your idea, lemme just say Donnie Darko was a kick-*** movie. Anyways, with that aside, looks okay to me, but then again I'd read anything once (and it often got me quite pissed off, ie Lord of the Rings). Wonder if the name of Charon has any hidden meaning, but meh, I dunno.

it seems like one of those si fi movies or somthing. It sounds pretty cool. The plot is very twisted in a intresting sort of way.

First off, I really REALLY like your idea. I haven't seen too much science fiction in this forum, and this pleases me very much.

Some of the ideas remind me of Isaac Asimov's Robot novels, along with the character Jane from Orson Scott Card's Speaker for the Dead.

When are you actually going to get some of the actual writing out? That's what I want to see. I'm genuinely interested in this.

I've been working a lot lately and haven't really sat down to write much yet. Usually I fill a blank book with a story and type it up afterward for friends, but then again I also use MS Works and do short little scenes before I start the actual story, sort of a warm up to get into the characters. I did just load a short warm up to the site, for whoever wants to look. Just follow the link above again.

As for symbolism... well, Charon I didn't think about until after it was in there. It doesn't fit too well, really. Charon's the Greek ferryman of the dead on the River Styx, and Eblis Charon is... some smart man who made clones. :p

Eros is the one that I chose specifically for symbolism, he's the Greek god of love. One site I read up on Eros stuff on stated that "The experience of love that Eros injects into man and gods, and according to Euripides, all creatures of the land and sea alike, is anything but harmonious. It is the obsessive, adrenaline driven intensity of falling in love, often with the completely wrong person... it is Eros who now creates chaos." He is also said in some legends to have no tangible form, and is more like a force.

Thank you all for the feedback so far. :)
