I know there's a thread on Battle Sabers (That was also started by me) here, but I felt the need to start a new thread for this one. If you don't like it, tell the mod (Bakamattsu) about it and let him handle it.

As you can see I started to play SMJ: BS again (Only because my brother took the PS2 to his friends house and I was left with the DC and the PS) I bought this hard to find game on Yahoo! Auction, but its only burnt copy, but I could care less. Anyways, if there's anyone who still look for this game (Official or burnt), read this first. If not, just go by your daily business.

WARNING: THIS CONTAINS SPOILER OF THE GAME

    Pros:

    -Hanagata loading
There two versions of it, one is Hanagata hopping around then tripping over something I can't really make out, and the other is Hanagata doing some dance then pulling out some flowers.

    -Parts Selection
Being able to equiped different parts for the marionettes was rather fun (Only for a while, this could also be a con)

    -Baiko and Tamasaburo
Automatically this grabs my attention, because I a fan of Ume and Tama, also they're equipped with the Otome Kairo (Maiden Circuit)

    -Opening
I guess the opening is a must see for SMJ fans, but it's just like the opening to SMJ only with a couple of different scenes added to it (Mainly Apple)

    -Portraits
They look cute in those picture, but you can see them without actually purchasing the game at Hanami's Saber Marionette World

    -Level Music
I like the background music for each level, what is that so wrong to do?

    -Tamasaburo
I just had to put thing. Best ending, and the best weapon. You know how almost every comedy anime has a female character with a mallet, well on this one Tamasaburo has it.

    Now for the Cons

    Cons:

    -Skill Levels
The game is too damn easy. I put it in each skill level and playing it on hard was like playing it on normal, and normal was like easy and easy was like fight the characters in training mode. They just stand there. The only worthy opponents on this game was Lime and Tiger, the rest sux.

    -Game play
They made it too easy. my 6 year old niece could beat the game in normal.

    -Characters
There's not enough of them. it gets boring after a while even after aquiring Baiko and Tamasaburo (who you can only aquire using the cheat)

    -Endings
It's the same stuff we see on the anime, only that they don't move around. I beat the game with every single character, and the only worthy ending was Tamasaburo's ending. another reason this is a con is because no matter what level you beat it on, you get the same ending over and over again.

-Baiko and Tamasaburo has Otome Kairo?
Why the hell do they have one? 'nuff said

    -No replay Value
once you beat the game with every single character, there's no point in playing anymore.

That's all I can think about the game right now, and I ain't thinking too straight, cause I'm tired as hell. If this game was more like tekken it would have been a worthy fighting game I think. and also maybe if they put in more characters like the Gartland Marionettes, and the Japoness Marionettes. It would have been even cooler if the Mesopotamia was the final boss instead of Baiko and Tamasaburo.

Well this is my little rant on the game I bought for 5 bucks. I could care less if I bought a copy version of this game. Of course if you're a hardcore SMJ fan, I can't say the same for you.

Well, would the multiplayer not be good? That's usualy the best part of Beat 'em Ups I reckon. Despite the cons, I'd still buy it if I had the chance without thought.

Yes it's fun to play multiplayer, but after a while (maybe 30 min) because of the limited characters it gets boring. (Plus one of my friend who I played with kept yelling HENTAI)
