Art My second CG (please dont tell me how much i suck)

ok and hello first of all i have to apologise to chejo, this was his image and i liked it so i cged it but i havent asked him if i can (dont kill me).

the image was on girlfriends computer cos she was going to do some fanart based on it but i live with her and i came across it and decided to try my lame skills with it

im really pleased with the way the clothes came out as well as the shoes but some parts are obviously bad. but its only my second completed CG ever so i think its pretty cool

It'll be in a subfolder in Rem's gallery later on so you can leave comments here or there and i'll get them, feel free to PM me cos i dont get any mail and i'd appreciate it

 

Firts rule when trying to become a CG:er

Never say that you suck, you dont suck, you didn't take your time when you did this, next time I want you to spend 3-4 hours when you CG next picture, I have a tutorial If you would like to see it then PM me and I will give you the Link, by the way what program do you use,? Is it photoshop 7.0

Rule number 2 never lose fait , and dont stop, try this for like 6 months if you still arn't good then you can give up ^^ pleas dont keep on going ^^

 

Well, its not bad for your SECOND attempt, but listen to Mangaka . He's got wisdom! Put time and patience into your work, and learn your tools well . Then you're off to make wunnerful arts ...

 

You don't suck. Heck.. you're a better CGer than me :sweat:

All I see that needs fixing is the way you shine the hair. Look at some other CG drawings. Try to imagine where the light is coming from. A good example of CG for the hair would be to look at someof SaberJ2X's drawings :catgirl:

I think you got the wrong idea about the thread title, i'm not trying to put myself down I was just kidding about the sucking, I know i need more practice but I also know i'm not totally talentless I'll pm mangaka when i have the time because i've been looking for decent guides

I used Paint Shop Pro 7 but soon i'll be working with adobe photoshop CS

(if anyone has hints for either of these programs then Pleeease PM me )

 

Be proud! It's a really cute girl (yes I know Chejo did it,) but the coloring is not half bad. I can't CG at all!

 

That be my boyfriends talent there, he is very good, better than me, he taught me most of what I know (whish isnt much). ^_^ *whispers* and he has a nice ***, pm me for pics, lol, jk.

Looks pretty good for a second attempt at CGing. I think a lil shading in the hair would make it more consistent with the clothing (cuz the clothing has airbrush while the hair doesn't).

Keep in mind that not all artists allow others to color their drawings, and when in doubt, ask first. But it's good that you said it wasn't your drawing.

 

mmm..well I dont mind (much ) but next time ask first, I dont mind helping out, in fact, i have lineart version of all my drawings so if anyone is interested to use them for practice pm me

Awwww isnt he nice ^_^, well when it comes down to it, I said "Its all about the sausage dog isnt it?" They are dogs but they are sausages as well, whats that about?, think about it.
