Anime Nanaka 6/17

I recall reading about this series some time ago... back when it was still just a manga and slated to become a series. Now it's all out (at least in japan, fansubs are somewhat available here) and I must say... my impression was wrong. I initially thought I wouldn't like it.. although I couldn't pin down a reason as to why.

This series is funny... really funny. All the magical girl references leave me rolling. Especially the Gekiganger-esque magical girl anime that it seems quite a few people watch (with a popularity run of over 11 years, no less)

And before you ask.. or maybe after.. it's Gekiganger-esque because it's a total parody of the genre and a lot of people in the 'real' world watch it... it'll probably have some important role in the later of the 12 episodes.

A must watch if you like WAFF comedies... or a plain recommendation if you just want some laughs.

Well, I would watch more of it if someone would get me more.... *nudgenudgewinkwink*

From watching the first episode I already know I'm going to like this series. It may not be the most serious of things, but sometimes you just need something sweet and light-hearted to boost the spirits, and Nanaka 6/17 seems to have that in spades.
