I am just wondering if anyone knows of when we can see Naruto being released in North America. I just finished watching episode 78 from a fansub site and I cannot wait to purchase this anime on DVD. I have searched high and low to try to find out something, anything about Naruto being licensed in North America but I haven't found anything. Any help, or information on this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    read posts

those are different rights. rights to air and dub a show.

as far as licensing to gain rights to produce dvds, rights to the names and characters and produce toys here, that remains to be seen. So for now we can still enjoy watching the fansubs and hope its a good company who makes the subs and dubs for the dvds.

    Thanks

Thanks for the info. I am anxiously waiting for it to get licensed so I can buy the DVD's and some other merchandise. I have been watching the fansubs and I have to say out of the many different series I have watched, I have not seen one that is better than Naruto. I would like to purchase the manga as well but I cannot find it anywhere in Manitoba, Canada (which is where I live) so oh well. Thanks again for the information. And yes I do hope that it is a good company.

I just hope 4Kids Entertainment doesn't get the license. They'll edit the Hell out of it. And most westernization of Japanese dubs suck. The only exception being Cowboy Bebop.

um as for Naruto DVD there is like a hundred boot-legged copy's around the net (mostly in jap) and the Manga if u want it in english there is about 3 volumes that have been translated to english so good luck you'll just have to wait i guess **if it helps**

Eh, the Naruto anime's been frozen in Japan. That doesn't affect the Japanese release in any way, but it means it's unavailable for dubbing anywhere else.
