  1. Hey, it appears we have someone willing to try and do the translation of
    the Sound Creature booklet.

What we need is better quality scans so that it is readable.

This is a rare opportunity and it would be a shame to lose out.

Can anyone do some higher res scans of the book and/or make a decent
quality black and white copy that we could give to the translator?

One possibiltity: I live in Manhattan/New York City and unfortunately I
    don't have the book.
I do have access to both a high quality scanner and also very good copy
machines. If it's convenient, someone could bring me the book and I could
scan and/or copy it in their presence. The best time to do this would be on
    a weekend.

One way or another, this is a great chance to get this done!

As I said last week already, I could scan the booklet. I'm just waiting for a
reaction from the other person who also wanted to do it (was it Ben?), so that
the same work is not done twice. Please leave a short message.

  3. Hi All,

    Just echoing Mike's comments,
My brother (translator) was here on the weekend, and confirmed we need
higher res scans (150dpi should be fine, the current scans are all around 72
    dpi).
Please be sure to scan as a photo image, not as two colour line drawing.
Then images saved as 256 colour GIF file rather than as JPEG (GIF will
compress better for text and will have less compression artifacts).
    Thanks in Advance.

    Regards,
    Lance

If I have not commented on this yet - I would like to give my vote to "please scan it in".

I'll try and get this done this week sometime. Not now quite as busy as I
    thought I was.
