Fruits Basket Need HELP for Fruit Basket!!!

Hello.

I'm currently on a project to launch Fruit Basket video in Singapore, the free TV is airing this title next year and the cable is on it this coming 28th.

What i need to do is to collect as many information about this title, such as viewership in Japan, popularity level, what're the awards (if any) or reviews it gets (favourable ones only) at famous review sites or magazines, what coverage it gets in the newspapers, wat television showing it at which country and so on...:glazed:

Can anyone here help me out by giving me as much info about Fruit Basket as possible? The story is no problem since we have subtitled it and dubbed it into English and Mandarin, but i need to know the manga part, if possible, since we'll be releasing the beanies/soft toys of the Zodiac animals. (what of the rooster and the dragon? (unless you consider the Seahorse a dragon...then wat happen to the horse?)

Well, I know that the Fruits Basket manga won an award last year as the best manga or something along those lines, and Fruits Basket was (possibly still is) the most popular shoujo comic and the third most popular comic overall.

As far as I know Fruits Basket is not currently airing on television anywhere, but that may change in the future. The anime series is over in Japan.

The seahorse is the dragon (this comes from the belief that seahorses are baby dragons). The horse does not show up in the anime, but she has shown up in the manga. I don't know where the rooster is, but I'm sure he'll show up sooner or later the way things are going.

Seems like my company will be one of the first to release the complete set of English subbed Fruit Basket. Too bad we couldn't dub it in English, but we have it in Mandarin. Should be released by March, all 26 episodes of it, in Singapore, DVD format.

I read your post and I was so happy that Fruit basket is going to be released in Singapore. I can't wait for that day when it's sold outside. But the problem is that it's in DVD format and I do not have the DVD machine. I was thinking that maybe your company should release the VCD format too. It will be much fairer to those who do not have the DVD machine. I mean I will be
feeling upset if there's no VCD format as I can't buy it and chances of me watching fruit basket will be very slim. So please
grant my request please. I have been looking for Fruit basket vcd for one year already so please release the VCD format too. I'll be so grateful if you do.

That's so great that It's coming out. Too bad I live no where near Singapore. but whatever. A dvd of fruits basket is already out in dvd format of course and it has 6 episodes. its quite good i just finished watching it at my friends house less than a hour ago. but i was wondering just as to who the author of the manga is. for some reason i can't find the author anywhere! sigh. so it would really help if you could tell me and i give you the best of luck! i hope to maybe one day collect all the fruits basket dvds or video's and the manga! The author of Fruits Basket is TAKAYA Natsuki. The last time I checked there were ten tankouban available, but there might be more now. As far as I know there is no current plan to release the manga in a translated format, but that could change at any time given how popular the series is.

Yap, we'll be releasing Fruits Basket latest by early April in DVD and VCD format, complete with English/Chinese subtitles and Mandarin/Japanese sound tracks. Unfortunately it can only be in region code 3.

We're still trying to figure out how to bundle the zodiac animals into beanies for sale...

What does "region code 3" mean? Sorry but I usually read more than i watch. But for fruits basket, def. gonna watch! in fact...i want a dvd player. it'll only take a couple of years if i pay for it.
