O.K so I've just finished reading all the Love Hina manga (except vol 9 which i can't seem to get my hands on) and now i have no mangas to dominate my life. Sooo i'm asking for some advice on what mangas i should consider getting next. I was thinking of maybe Chobbits. What do you think? HELP!

Chobits is a good start, besides that you can always try Oh My Goddess! -winku-
Besides that, you can try the .hack series, FLCL, Kenshin, Hellsing, Battle Royale etc etc.

But it all depends on what your taste is.

It really does depend on where your tastes lie as to what manga you will find interesting and enjoyable. I've never read Chobits myself, but it looks pretty cute, and CLAMP stuff is quite popular.

I would personally suggest picking up Chronicles of the Cursed Sword if you like fantasy stories. Fruits Basket is another excellent series, and the first translated volume of manga comes out next month (2-10-2004).

So....what kinds of stories do you like, manga or anime (or just standard genres, as there are usually manga equivalents available)? I think people will be able to give more suggestions if you tell us what you enjoy.

I am gunna suggest Gundam G Unit (Last OutPost) great story, funny, not too long, only good if you saw Gundam Wing. For anything else Naruto, good ninja story, only problem is it is long and on going in Japan. Gunslinger Girl if you liked Noir get this. AzuManga Daioh is funny it has random comedy.

I think the type of manga i like are ones that are really just plain funny. I suppose i kind of have to examine my own tastes.
I'm not really a big Mecha fan although i did injoy Evangelion.
I said in one of my Threads that i really like mangas were the characters act not there age. Like Misato :bleed2: in Eva when she goes home and Ruri :catgirl: in Nadesico. I also like Mischeifes characters like Su :catgirl: in Love Hina.
A manga with characters like that will grab my attention very quickly.

Ranma 1/2 really got me into manga. But I can't say I truly loved manga until Steam Detectives and Fushigi Yugi came into my life ^_^.

Unfortunately, I only know two shops in this whole country that sell manga, (there ARE others, but not any I've been to >_<) and in the shops I DO go to there are a massive collection of gothic people who seem INSISTENT on buying vol 1 of EVERY manga in the shop! AND NOTHING ELSE! I've had to get vol 2 of loads of things and am being forced to buy vol 1 of everything on the internet o_O

Than Chobits is a pretty good selection, Sumomo just owns :p
Besides that, I would suggest Ranma 1/2 which is a classic and have mischeifes characters.

TokyoPop has been extremely promising lately. Hoards 'n hoards of new manga have been newly released almost every week. You have more than enough choices. Just goto a bookstore and dig in. I'm not kidding. I don't really look up certain mangas I want, I just go and seem what peaks my interests -- That's what I do! :)

Since we're on the topic of Chobits, it is extremely good; But then again, So is Gravitation, Saber Marionettes, Trigun, .hack, etc. Tons o' new mangas.. Weo.

well.i recomend the CERES manga. it focuses on a girl mostly. there are funny parts. 2 of the charecters argue alot and the arguments are funny. inu yasha is good but u have probably read it. so is sailor moon but sailor moon is a bit of a romance story. rurroni kenshion is also good. my suggestions.

hmmmm... Hellsing all the way. While the animated series is dark, forbidding, and at times just plain spooky, the manga is a bit more laid back, fun, and has a lot more humor in it. The trade off is its more gory than the anime.

You should get Fooly Cooly, Cowboy Bebop or Ragnarok.

I would defenantly recomend, Ranma 1/2 or chobits if you enjoyed Love Hina. Fushigi Yugi might be of intrest too or Ray Earth. ~~but those are more Adventure like. Hellsing would be your Action sort of manga. Pretty much all the mangas past mentioned are excelent choices. But if you are looking for somthing that is similer to Love Hina, Chobits or Ranma 1/2 would be an excelent choice. And Ranma alone will give you alot of reading. ^^
