FLCL Never Knows Best...

    what does it mean?
    From listening to commentary, it seems to mean that you can never know what's best for you...er or

    "Nobody knows what is best for themselves or anything else, you just do what you do" <--what I think.

    the words "Never Knows Best" are written on Mamimi's Cigatettes...thats what...

    have you checked a search on a search engine about NEVER KNOWS BEST. it might be a real brandname

    Anyways she wrote it on there. And I think it means that Never knows best, and Never is a clever person :) (actually, i have no clue.)

    lol I'm pretty sure it means that:

    You can never make the best decision, no matter what. The best decision is never thought of, and so, "never knows best"

    ....I'm pretty sure the GAINAX guy said that in the commentary for v. 1......

    wow, that was pretty well thought of. But I say, if it was a subliminal message shouldn't it say something useful like buy pepsi or something around there. or Never Knows Bests, Always drink pepsi.

    Maybe it does. If it was plainly visible, it wouldn't exactly be subliminal now would it?

    Subliminal: not percieved by the conscious mind, but by the subconscious.

    in other words: "Never knows best" isn't subliminal, it's right there plain as day. Now the cigarette might also say "drink Pepsi" in such a way that we don't notice it. that would be subliminal.

    this is sort of a subliminal message drink pepsi obey mamiyaotaru unless your style has a blue background or something. pretend your background is white and you'll see what I mean. Maybe

    it looks like that somebody wrote it on the cigarrettee to me, so i dont think its a brand or anything, but the people at gainex are crazy and probably just put that there to make us go crazy thinking about what means:dizzy2:

    I think never knows best is a statement about Mamimi. I mean look at her she's got no home life, she smokes, she ditches school, doesn't do her homework and she's fooling around with her ex's younger brother, I'd say she pretty much never knows best and she realizes that, so she writes it on her cigarettes. I think she does it for attention. Of course that sounds like a bunch of psycho babble. :sweat:
