Video Games New Dragonball Z Budoaki Game

Hey, did anyone hear about the new Dragonball Z Budokai game? It is called Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi (Ten Ky eechee). It means best/ strongest in the universe. It is going to be awesome! There is going to be over 60 characters and transformations! So if anyone is as big of a DBZ game fan as I am, post here!

 

I'm sure it's only gonna be good until I beat the game, or get tired of fighting in 60 fights, just like Budokai 3. Not that I won't play it, I just hope it has a solid story this time, and maybe an intro with lyrics....(good ones)

I would most likly be worried about the fighting..if its like DBZ3 then yea I'll like it and rent it but if not and drops down to one or two..then no time is going to be spent on it. The story line though i wouldn't mind to be improved or somthing more newer..meh...i just hope it is good and the enemy AI is decent.

 

I'm very interested in the camera at the moment. From the looks of it, the multiplayer is split screen, so you are both allowed the behind the back camera that the single player mode allows. Interesting.

50+ Characters? That's just too much, I hope they'll cut on the loading times, because those were a pain in Budokai 3.. It's a shame they went back to the full 3D renderings like in Budokai 1, because the cell-shading suited really well with DBZ Budokai 3.. and English voices, because I find the Japenese ones.. weird.. Only Goku then.. For gods sake he sounds like a woman! Okay so, many anime guys out there sound like women, like Himura Kenshin.. But Kenshin is small! Goku is freaking damn huge and buff! His English voice suits better.. (personal opinion, don't start flamewars )
Okay uhhh the game.. yeah they might be making something nice of it, tons of characters.. but I still think it's a shame they chose full 3D again

 

They do cut the loading time down, considerably actually. Sadly this version doesn't look as cell shaded as the others, kinda makin' it lose its real DBZ feel IMO.

 

I never really liked the Budokai games...it feels too easy for some reason.

I consider this game only as a "fan-only" game. If you are not a fan, you are not gonna enjoy it fully, but if you are, congrats

I just saw a commercial for it. It looks cell shaded to me. I think someone mistaked 3D characters with 3D battle system as they said in the commercial.

 

Gotta agree with you on that last part, seeing as Ki attacks do almost 3x more damage than before in this Boudaki.

 

Well the first one wasn't Cell-shaded either, but at least they had "real" cutscenes, instead of the character image+ talking.. 't was funny to see Cell merge with Krillin in Budokai 1, resulting in tiny Cell XP
Good thing they'll cut down the loading time, ever since I played GGX2, I get impatient! It's got practically no loading times.. Then again, it's a 2D fighting game, so no high amounts of polygon to load

 

Ha ha, you just made me remember that scene. XD I do think they should have made real cutscenes in the new Boudaki, it's more enjoyable to sit through.

 

Played the demo for this one. It was awesome. Even better than B3 which I like alot. The whole warp thing really tickled me.

 

Wait, are you talking about teleporting? If so, yeah, it's way harder to in this Boudaki. I also think there's too much constant button mashing. :dizzy:
