To follow is a press release from Mollin Licensing regarding the new BotP video game

Dedicated, Inseparable, Invincible Mollin Licensing announce worldwide computer game development deal for classic cartoon series Battle of the Planets

Birmingham (UK) based Headfirst Productions are to develop a game based on this much loved anime series. Battle of the Planets follows the adventures of five fearless young orphans who protect the galaxy from alien invasion and the plans of the evil mastermind Zoltar.

The game, planned for release during Q4 2002 will allow the player to take control of the combined might of G-Force in an adrenaline-pumping action game featuring cartoon shaded real-time graphics, single and cooperative multiplayer gameplay and even the Fiery Phoenix

Says Headfirst Director Mike Woodroffe, 'Battle of the Planets is a fantastic license to work with and it has the benefit of a massive pre-installed audience around the world. Everyone remembers G-Force.'

Ross Walker of Mollin Licensing who represent the property on behalf of licensor Sandy Frank Film Syndication Ltd, is delighted to have a Battle of the Planets game under development. 'Battle is currently undergoing a fantastic resurgence aided by the activity of our sister company Mollin Video who are releasing the series on DVD and video in the UK. Interest is enormous and response from the lifestyle and entertainment press has been extremely positive. It is certainly one of the best retro licences around and I am really looking forward to seeing Headfirst turn it into a great game.'
